As much as Fiyero was glad to be himself again ... he half-missed the feminine perks, as it were.

And maybe he was flipping through a girly magazine at the counter of the bookstore today. So sue him!

Besides, maybe he could find something he'd be able to cook.

Fiyero half-winced, though, and gave Liir another squeeze. But that ... well, brought up something.

He'd spoken to Hurley and when the man had asked why he didn't know about Liir -- well, aside from the fact he wasn't likely born yet -- he didn't have an answer.

But he'd bring it up another time. "Well, at least you can be sure now."

He smiled.

"Yes, I have my nose. Or your nose. And you're... you're exactly as you're supposed to be."

He didn't know how else to put it.

"I'm just very glad I didn't disappoint."

He often worried about doing as much. Disappointing ... her, and now Liir. Sarima, the children.

It was a lot of pressure!

"I don't think you could."

Because the hole he had left had been so blatant, the wound never really closed. Hence Liir had known the shape of his father from the piece that was missing and such did he fit right back in.

"Amber told me that you haven't even talked to her yet, though. I'm sort of surprised."

He blinked.

"Well, I didn't know if you'd want me invading on your personal life like that without being introduced properly."

And he wasn't all that good at introducing himself!

"Oh."

He hadn't thought of that.

"Well, she's the one playing, er, some very important girl in the play," he explained. "And she's a very good friend."

"I had noticed someone I thought was her," he admitted.

But she'd often seemed busy with another of the players and Fiyero hadn't wanted to impose awkwardly.

"I just wondered mostly because I didn't want to embarrass you. Earlier, I mean. Today, earlier."

He gave Fiyero a squeeze.

He smiled a little, but didn't exactly follow.

"Ah, well. You didn't."
