Book Haven - Friday, 10/10

Liir was at the bookstore ridiculously early, mostly because he wanted to get everything done so he could, well, nip out for the carnival. That said, it wasn't as if he didn't clean everything, straighten things up, and man the counter quite a lot of the time.

...and the broom really made the travel very quick.

The Book Haven was open. And hopefully Millie wouldn't mind.

Sometime before lunch Millie wandered down cheerfully. "What are you still doing here? Isn't there a carnival?"

His legs was jangling against the floor a bit like a Rabbits, but he nodded to her with a smile.

"Yes. I've flown over a few times to peek in, but I came in early so I could get things done beforehand."

He zipped out from behind the counter before pausing at the door.

"What about you? Aren't you going to come as well?" he asked carefully.

"Oh," she blushed and waved the question away. "I went to the kissing booth and well, it was nice and I hoped to perhaps... Well, in any case my foray into that area turned out very badly and I still do not know what I did wrong, so I think perhaps I should just stya safely home."

He looked at her for a moment before sighing out and nodding his head.

"All right, but... may I bring you some cotton candy back? You should enjoy some of it."

He held up a hand and quite literally flew out the door before returning with a smaller bag of the stuff for her some minutes later.

It was pink and blatantly unnatural.

"Cotton candy," he said, as someone who'd just discovered such today.

He smiled, glad she was happy with it.

"I'll try and buy a little more and bring it when I see you next week. From what I've heard of the stuff, it should keep rather well."

He hung in the doorway.

"Enjoy, Millie. And... perhaps, reconsider coming to the carnival? I'm sure you'd have a good time."

And he made his way out, hopping onto broom as he ran.
