The Park, Dangerously Close to the Duck Pond, Sunday

Despite spending the entire night staring off into the distance, remembering how Johnny had bought the farm, how Billy Bob had bit it, how Charlie had gone to that baseball diamond in the sky, and how Tiny Tim...oh poor Tiny Tim, Seely had managed to hear radio, to hear the name of his girl, the only one who'd ever understood his secret past, the one he could never go home to, she was here, but here with another man.

Perfect manly tears slowly trickled their solitary paths down his cheek as he wandered near the pond.

[ooc: Seely's here for one in particular, but open for anyone needing a duck pond for their catfight to end in]

This seems like an awfully silly place to start a catfight or eight, thankfully no one in Fandom would ever do that. Really.

Much more cheerful than yesterday, and resolved on a course of action to get his love back, Bond was taking a constitutional around the park.

Alas that he was so caught up in thoughts of his and his love's inevitable reunion that he didn't notice the shabbily-dressed young man until he ran into him.

Seely for his part had been too caught up in thoughts of his own lost love to notice the sharply dressed older man until he had been run into.

He paused to apologise when...

"You!"

The shock of recognition was clear on Bond's face. He wasn't sure how he couldn't have noticed it before, but then he had been just a boy. "What are you doing here?"

The shock was even clear on Seely's. Shock and hatred, could he never escape this man.

"I could ask you the same question," he said, his voice taking on a ~~noticeably bad~~ BBC English accent as he glared at Bond. "After all, my mother isn't here."

Bond stared at the young man who he'd wanted to make his step-son. "Your mother? You broke your mother's heart when you ran away."

"I had too," Seely replied, remembering how he had run away from home at the tender age of ten and a half, joining the circus as a human cannonball until he made enough money to leave the continent. "The way you were taking at advantage of her. You should have been ashamed of yourself."

"I loved your mother," Bond replied, hands curling into fists. "And she loved me."

"You were taking advantage of her position as head of MI6!" Seely yelled, his hands making fists of their own. "And you wanted her peerage!"

"That's simply not true!" Bond yelled back, his hair whipping about in the sudden wind that had arisen as the background music had gotten louder. "That peerage was your rightful inheritance, before you left! Left without so much as a note or a message to soothe your mother's heart!"

Seely's outfit had mysteriously changed to a much less ragged dress shirt and trousers while they has been yelling. Like Bond's hair the untucked tails flapped dramatically in the wind.

"It is my rightful inheritance!" And when he got it back maybe he would be able to win back his love too. "Which was why you tried to send me away to military school!"

"It's a tradition for the men in your family to attend that school," Bond yelled over the now howling wind and unbearably loud background music. "It was written in your father's will you ungrateful brat!"

"Don't talk about my father!" Seely yelled. Britishly. "You're not my father!"

"I will be just as soon as I ask your mother to marry me!"

"Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" Seely yelled as he tackled Bond, fists swinging.

Bond hadn't expected that and hit the ground hard, kicking his feet out from under him, he quickly moved to attempt to pin Seely to the group.

Wriggling under Bond, Seely refused to to let himself to be pinned, swinging his fists at Bond again and again as they rolled on the ground.

With a great tearing sound, Bond's shirt came off in Seely's hands. He took advantage of Seely's momentary confusion to tackle him.

*SPLASH*

Right into the duck pond.

Like Seely was going to let a little thing like a duck pond and wet clothes clinging tightly to every curve of his body stop him.

He grappled at Bond, trying to gain a purchase on his slick skin.

Bond grabbed hold of Seely's shirt and hauled him closer, their legs tangling together as he tried to stay upright in the water.

Seely pressed up against Bond, his fingers tangling in his hair as he gasped for breath.

And then Bond was kissing Seely breathlessly, his lips pressing hungrily against the young heirs.

For those inclined to watch ~~and mock~~ rather than fight.
