Cafe Fina - Sunday
Everyone on the island had gone absolutely insane. Warren had listened to the radio, to the outbreak of killings, the onset of a small army of evil twins, and the epidemic of amnesia. He had listened, and he had clamped his hands into fists.
And then he had come into work today.
The world-saving always happened when he had to work. Go figure.
Today's Special:
Bring the Citizens in Distress Here
Warren Will Save Them
And Then Give You Pie.
Maybe that would keep the day interesting. Otherwise he was going to have to make do with sorting out the napkins and their horrible love triangles with the silverware.
[Fina is open! I should be around for most of the day- though I'll be gone for about an hour starting right about now.]

Mod Your Service!
Save the Citizen!
OOC!

God knows I've forgotten to post enough times...Re: OOC!
Re: Save the Citizen!
Yep, still having secret children and amnesia.
That image would be burned into his mind forever.
He saw Warren sitting there and watched him a moment before speaking. "Please tell me you're normal..."
Re: Save the Citizen!
Warren glanced at a napkin as she slapped a spork across the cheek. Ow.
"A little sanity is pretty appreciated about now."
Re: Save the Citizen!
He just hoped that the Fais didn't show up again. It was difficult enough to slip away from them yesterday.
Re: Save the Citizen!
Warren eyed the dishes warily. Oh. Yes.
"Yeah. I can see how this would start to get to your head after a while."
Re: Save the Citizen!
Re: Save the Citizen!
As if that had explained everything.
"You can call me in whenever you need me, you know. It isn't like I have a life."
Re: Save the Citizen!
Re: Save the Citizen!
Or if people pushed him too far and he felt the sudden need to rearrange their face. Same thing, right?
"Got in trouble at my last school. Totaled the cafeteria fighting."
Re: Save the Citizen!
Sounded like he could at least use some disipline if nothing else.
Re: Save the Citizen!
Warren really, really, really could use the discipline. Good call!
Re: Save the Citizen!
Re: Save the Citizen!
He had to be sure. It just seemed like the sort of weekend where that sort of thing was entirely possible.
Re: Save the Citizen!
Re: Save the Citizen!
He had to be certain that his particular idea of fighting wasn't going to become a huge issue, or anything.
Re: Save the Citizen!
Re: Save the Citizen!
A few of the saner dishes ran for cover.
"Fire," he said, by way of clarification.
Re: Save the Citizen!
He hadn't had a challenge in a long time, this should prove to be interesting.
Re: Save the Citizen!
A little exercise would do Warren some good, too.

"Hello? Who's working today? Can you lead me to a seat and read me the day's specials?" She smiled, folding her cane expertly as she spoke.
Re: Save the Citizen!
This would be interesting, he was sure.
[Sorry! Thanksgiving dinner happened!]
Re: Save the Citizen!
"Uh... Momoko?"
This was the same Momoko who had bounded into his room the other night to pull him off to the dance, right?
She... uh.. hadn't been quite soooooo... Blind, then.
"Do you need some help?"
Re: Save the Citizen!
Re: Save the Citizen!
"Braille? No. No braille menus. I'll have to... uh. Mention it to the managers."
He was having difficulty thinking of how much help the 'usual' might have been. Fortunately, the feuding flatware had found it deep within their hearts to take a moment to assist Momoko to a seat.
"The special today isn't really anything edible," Warren attempted almost lamely. "Would you like anything in particular anyhow? The kitchen staff can make almost anything."
Re: Save the Citizen!
Re: Save the Citizen!
He was now casting suspicious glares around the cafe. Whatever was out there, it was going to have to walk through fire to get to him, damn it.
Some of the napkins scurried off to get Momoko some cake.

He stopped in his tracks and leaned over a little, narrowing his eyes and staring long and hard at her.
"So. Momoko. How long have you been... Uh." He waved a hand vaguely, then realized she probably couldn't see it. "Blind?"
Re: Save the Citizen!
Re: Save the Citizen!
It was entirely possible that he wasn't sane today, wasn't it?
In Fandom, it was so very difficult to be sure.
Re: Save the Citizen!
Re: Save the Citizen!
He sighed and gave his head a shake.
"You know," he mused, lighting a candle at the table with his fingertip not for the light, but because lighting things on fire was relaxing, "cake does sound like a good idea. My treat."
Re: Save the Citizen!
She smiled when the fire smell wafted towards her. "You shouldn't doubt the power of baked goods! Cake is always a good idea. Tastes great, makes you feel happy, and you don't get a hangover in the morning."
Re: Save the Citizen!
It will be over soon, he reminded himself, and everything will be back to normal.
"What do you call normal?"
Re: Save the Citizen!
"Normal? Normal is normal. You know, like going to classes? Club meetings? Work. Hanging out around town or heading off for a day trip to the mainland. The usual." She waved her hand dismissively. "Although I believe we're on break now, so classes are out."
Re: Save the Citizen!
Warren sighed and lit another candle. There weren't enough candles in the restaurant. Probably not in the world.
"Normal."
