There was a large signboard in front of Atlas Gym proclaiming the evening's event:

Swim Suit Up and Grab a Noodle!
Wednesdays at the Dive-In
Tonight's Feature - Mandibles


Students, townies, and teachers alike could cuddle up on a raft or a noodle in the heated, Olympic-sized pool or the bubbly jacuzzi and watch an enormous fake shark gnaw people to bits.

Barney fully expected at least five of the boys to try to freak out the girls or the new lifeguard. She was hired to look pretty, not to save your lives.

For the kids playing in the water. There's plenty of noodles, arm floaties, and rafts to lounge on during the movie.

He had the raft again, of course. Ender was considering just adding this to his routine: the quiet of the water combined with some exposure to this time's culture.

It was useful, even if he was thinking about the practicalities of the movie throughout.

There's a Jamie on a raft. Enjoying the movie. Floating. Not a care in the world.

But there's also a duplicate. With a snorkel who is attempting to sneak up on people and grab various appendages in concert with shark attacks.

Really? It's a best of both worlds.

Angela decided to do her movie watching from a comfortable spot in the jacuzzi. She'd just had her first cheerleading practice, so it was probably a wise move from that angle.

Just don't mention the germy possibilities...
