The streets of Fandom - Thursday Morning
Marion and Mutt had arrived in Fandom early Thursday morning. One was very tired and wanted a nap and the other was a three year old boy. Marion noticed some very weird and very confusing differences about the town already but just assumed she had entered one of those experimental "towns of the future" type of deals. She didn't mind. Booze worked the same no matter where you are. But before she could worry about her new job, she needed to worry about finding that damn apartment building...
"Look, Mommy, look!" Mutt said, pointing at a very colorful gremlin that was grumpily walking by.
Marion was too distracted by a map of the town to notice. "Not now, honey..."
[And Marion and Mutt have arrived. Open!]

Funny how that happens.
At first he didn't pay attention to the mother and son but when he heard her speak... Oh yes. He knew that voice.
He turned and looked at the woman, his mouth hanging open in disbelief.
Nah. Couldn't be.
"Marion?" He asked, his voice cracking in disbelief.

"Indiana Jones," Marion said as she turned to face him. There was a smile on her face but the look in her eyes showed that she was anything but pleased.

It was just confusion now. Which is probably why he saw the smile and not the look in her eyes. He returned the smile and pushed his hat back a bit. How the hell did she end up here?
"What are you doing here?"
no subject
"You left me again!" she snapped, throwing a fist out to punch him in the jaw.
no subject
"Give it a rest, Marion," he growled as he rubbed his jaw. "You knew it wasn't going to work between us."
no subject
"You left me a week before our wedding!" And there she went trying to punch him again, this time on the other side of his face.
Mutt saw from his mother's reaction that clearly this was a very bad man. So he did what his mother taught him to do when bad men were around. He ran up and tried to kick Indy in the shins.

"You think that was easy for me?" he snapped as he tried to push himself off the ground. "I told you I was sorry!"

"Yeah, right," he said sarcastically. "Because you're so good at keeping your opinions to yourself."
He gave the kid the once over and then looked at Marion and then back at the kid. "Nice, kick," he said trying to be complimentary. "Who do you belong to?"
no subject
"He belongs to me," Marion said simply. The rest wasn't important. Well, wasn't important in her mind anyway.
no subject
"Little doubt of that," he grumbled as he rubbed his jaw again. "He's got your knack for saying hello."

"Good to know," he grumbled in reply and then fixed Marion with a look. "What are you doing here, Marion?"

He frowned a little. Probably best not to mention how he got here.
"Look, I know I'm not your favorite person but at least let me help you out. Where are you trying to go?"
no subject
"The...something Harris Apartments," she said, afraid of mangling the word Malchanceux horribly.

However he couldn't just let her walk away without knowing more about this place.
"Look, Marion, I don't know what they told you about this town but... This place? It isn't normal."

"Fine!" he snapped. "Don't listen to me. From what I remember, you're pretty good at that."

He was definitely heading to the bar to get her reaction to the zombies.

He shook his head and turned to leave, "Whatever, sweetheart. Good luck with your job."
Yes. Definitely going to be there when she discovered the zombies.
