Wellspring Arms & Meditation Center, Thursday

Cable was not, in fact, planning any kind of revenge for the incidents the previous day. They weren't that important. What was important was the upcoming referendum on a potential new constitution for Bolivia, and...

Well. He was on the phone with Irene a lot that day. That was the upshot of it.

He needed to lay out a map of some world hot spots in case he had to make any house calls. Just in case. Nothing big, of course. Big didn't seem to work.

He'd asked her there on Thursday, so Temari was there. And fanless. "Cable."

"Trying to keep it close?" She asked, just raising an eyebrow as she headed for the room.

She hung back along the wall. "You just want a decisive win."

"It's you," Temari said dryly. She'd noticed that much in the last spar. "When you're ready."

Temari hummed, watching his movements closely. Somehow she didn't believe that. Mostly because he was still alive.

She ducked low, legs spread for balance as she went to backhand his knee. It was a weak spot on everyone, why would he be any different?

Wincing as that caught her shoulder-- already moving, had to get away from the damn wall-- Temari went lower, rolling forward to take advantage of his legs moving and... well moving between them to get out.

Ah, the life of a ninja.

Once out she donkey kicked back at him to keep from being followed too soon after.

Temari was gripping the floor, using chakra to dig in enough to pull herself away. Needed to get upright and facing him for this fight to even remotely go in her favour.

Bringing herself to a sudden stop, Temari twisted and reached for the arm, digging her fingers in and yanking down as she brought a knee up.

And and assumption she couldn't take the full force of his hits would be met with scorn and calling him a pussy, really.

Temari hissed slightly at the pain, but mostly at the inability to flip him without pushing too hard. It took a second before she went with 'screw it' and burned more chakra to pull down hard on his arm and spin to throw him at the wall.

That was probably going to cost her in the long-run. Needed to build up her stamina.

Temari was ready too, darting forward to bodyslam him against the wall again. No chakra, just the element of surprise--she hoped-- and leverage.

Temari went flying at that, shaking her head to clear it once landed. That was like being hut with a club. She wiped her lip, smirking faintly as there was blood. "Better."

Temari shifted, getting her feet under her and read to move should the need arise. "Were you worried about hurting me?"

"Good." She moved fast to meet him before he got in a hit. A kick to the stomach to spur her up and kick his jaw. An uppercut wasn't going to work with the extreme height difference.
