Atlas Gym, Thursday Morning

While he waited for Deadpool, Sokka went back and forth across the sparring room practicing diving, rolling, flipping, and other sorts of evasive maneuvers.

Maneuuuuvers. It was a funny-sounding word, when you really thought about it.

ManEUUUUUUUvers.

Okay, so now there was a tired and out-of-breath Sokka standing in the middle of the room and saying "maneuvers" to himself.

And Sokka executed an evasive maneuver that, if it went off properly, would end with him doing a backflip and landing on Deadpool's knee.

It would have! ...if he hadn't moved about a foot to the left. He liked his knee unbroken.

Sokka nodded. "This is important." He picked up a practice sword and swung it around a bit. "My friend has to win a war, and I need to not be useless."

"I'd rather not think about dying, if it's all the same to you! I don't plan on doing it unless I have to!" Sokka raised an eyebrow at Deadpool. "I mean, I know you and Cable have done it a bunch of times, but in my world, we only get the once."
