Haunted House, Friday Evening

The warehouse had looked creepy enough before, in its empty, derelict state. Now, it radiated with some unholy energy... but that could have been the enthusiastically painted cardboard that had been shoved up against the side, by the door. For extra effect, the door creaked open from time to time, then slammed back shut.

When it was shut, you could almost hear the creepy, creepy sounds on the inside. When it was open.... well.

The Self-Defense Club and Kappa Kappa Gremlin had done their work well. Welcome... to the Fandom Haunted House. Muhaha ha ha haaa...

Robin tentatively put his hand out. "Eeeeewwww!"

Toby was totes freaked out when he felt the jello! It was so disgusting with his eyes closed.

The 'severed' head on the particularly large table might have a better time being scary if the 'demon cat' would stop licking his face.

The severed head was way realistic. Toby paused in front of it, wondering who was so mean to shave their cat.

Chad just sort of sat there for a moment as if he forgot why he was there, but then he remembered what Ichigo said about being a scary severed head and started letting out a really big, deep, rumble of a yell to scare...whoever it was he could hear there. Chad couldn't see with the hair in his eyes and he couldn't brush it back because his hands were under the table.

"Dude!" Toby jumped, not having expected there to be sound effects involved.

Glad to have gotten a jump out of the guy, Chad coughed, because he realized that doing this all night when he didn't even have a glass of water was going to be hell on his throat.

Prince Oscar Pedro let out a meow, naked tail swishing behind him as he eyed Toby.

Thinking this was way too much like the guy in that Brad Pitt movie, Toby backed away from the table slowly, eyes wide and ready for anything else the creepy cat might cause to happen.

Angela gave the squishy things a miss, but was there for the spooky house walkthrough.

Fake or not, she's comparatively easily unnerved, so that should be interesting.

Turtle was curious if knowing how everything was put together spoiled the effect of walking through the house.

And she had to admit, it kind of did.

But all the big spiders were still creepy, anyway. Yuck.

Jeff had entered the haunted house with much trepidation.

A couple of minutes later, however, that had turned into complete and utter fear. Apparently paranoia and a haunted house did not go well together, and he spent an awful lot of time lingering by the walls.

Turtle thought that faint whimpering might have sounded familiar. "...Jeff?"

"...Turtle," he whimpered, "That one looks like my mother."

"That one what?" Turtle asked, turning her head to look over her shoulder and scanning for signs of Jeff's mother in anything.

"...the cobweb?"

Well, it kind of looked like her hair.

"The witch," Jeff specified, very slowly, very meekly coming out of the shadows. He fidgeted. "... Hi, Turtle."

Re: Walk through the House

[identity profile] stocksgrrl.livejournal.com 2008-11-01 05:52 am (UTC)(link)
Turtle gave Jeff a faint smile at that. "Hi, Jeff," she said. "You know, there's more rooms. We can go into another one and the witch won't be in that one."

Re: Walk through the House

[identity profile] scary-jeff.livejournal.com 2008-11-01 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
"I was aware of that," he managed, "I just got a bit... stuck..." Jeff eyed the witch warily again, and then eyed Turtle warily, which was sort of defeating the point in some fashion, and he reached for her arm. "Onwards."

Re: Walk through the House

[identity profile] stocksgrrl.livejournal.com 2008-11-01 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
Turtle gave him a smile as he took her arm, and then she crossed the other one across herself to take his hand in hers. "Onward. Don't worry; I helped put this thing together, so I know it's not too dangerous."

Re: Walk through the House

[identity profile] scary-jeff.livejournal.com 2008-11-01 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
"You're certain about that, right?" he inquired, quickly pulling her down to the next room. Somewhere that wasn't near the witch. "Because sometimes, things sneak in."

Re: Walk through the House

[identity profile] stocksgrrl.livejournal.com 2008-11-01 05:58 am (UTC)(link)
"Certain," Turtle nodded. "We've even got Chad's cat scouting the place to make sure."

Which wasn't entirely true, but she figured it might help settle Jeff's poor nerves just a little.

Re: Walk through the House

[identity profile] scary-jeff.livejournal.com 2008-11-01 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
"...Chad's cat is a bit like Nana," Jeff tried, ducking some spiderwebs. The rest of the house wasn't really that scary. It was more the mother aspect of it. "But I'll be fine as long as there aren't any women."

Re: Walk through the House

[identity profile] stocksgrrl.livejournal.com 2008-11-01 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
Turtle frowned a little. "What's wrong with women?" she asked, but, as soon as she did, she remembered who she was talking to, and she smirked a little. "Never mind. Don't worry; there aren't any women that you'll have to worry about."

Re: Walk through the House

[identity profile] scary-jeff.livejournal.com 2008-11-01 06:08 am (UTC)(link)
"They tend to be the most frightening," he explained, "I mean, you can run away from a live spider, but it's harder to run away from a woman, they tend to take it badly." A pause. "Which you would know."

Re: Walk through the House

[identity profile] stocksgrrl.livejournal.com 2008-11-01 06:09 am (UTC)(link)
"Jeff," Turtle commented with a faint smirk, hugging to his arm tightly. "I only have one word in response to that. Closet."

Re: Walk through the House

[identity profile] scary-jeff.livejournal.com 2008-11-01 06:15 am (UTC)(link)
He ran that through his head for a minute. "Oh," Jeff said, finally, "I do do that a bit, don't I?"

Re: Walk through the House

[identity profile] stocksgrrl.livejournal.com 2008-11-01 03:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Turtle's head bobbed a little in a nod. "You do," she said, "but it's okay. You always come back out and that's the important part."

Re: Walk through the House

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2008-10-31 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Robin sort of wanted to go through the house, but he couldn't bring himself to do so alone. He looked for a companion.

The spiderwebs kept sticking on Toby's glitterfied skin and he just couldn't get away from them fast enough.

Cal was doing his best to try to recreate his freaky mask on the side of a pumpkin.

It was looking, at best, like a version done by Picasso.
