The Park, Thursday evening

Ben was setting aside things like 'trying to sell merchandise' and 'trying to figure out his whole thing here.' That's because it was time for him to be a nerd. Yes, nerdiness took precedence every now and then.

There was a nice, old camera in the store. Now it was in the park in Ben's hands. It was a lot like the camera he... well, Peter had when he first got into photojournalism. This was probably not a coincidence, of course, but Ben was going to pretend that it was. It made being a photo geek that much easier.

[OOC: Park's open. Ben may try to take pictures of people who show up.]

One nice thing about having a new exhibit up and running was that Charlotte had some free time, knowing she didn't have to worry too much with everything in the hands of her employees. For a little while, anyway. So it called for a little bit of a walk through the park, enjoying the weather before it went too far down south and all really cold and everything.

"Oh!" Charlotte was a bit distracted herself, by some of the ducks, with her nose wrinkled in distaste over a few unfortunate encounters with duck decor, so she was a little surprised to see the man there. "Hello! I..." Her head tilted a little at the camera. "Is it for anything?" she asked. "Or are you just a hobbyist?"

"Aww," Charlotte chuckled a little. "I could do a few shots, sure. I'm Charlotte, by the way." Because, if she was getting her picture taken, she should at least know the guy's name, and she offered her hand.

At which Charlotte lifted her chin and gave a smile that she hoped wasn't too pose-y for the picture.

"People make for far more interesting subjects than ducks," Charlotte agreed with a nod and a little chuckle. "If you're interested in photography, maybe you should stop by my gallery. It's on Apocalypse Avenue, right by the docks. We just started a new piece with this phenomenal photographer who makes these gorgeous black and white portraits..."

Charlotte's professionalism was the only thing keeping her from celebrating that a little. Instead, she just beamed. "It's a great exhibit, although I did pick it out so I might be a little biased. Still! Only way to know for sure is to check it out yourself."

"To see if anyone can actually be tricked into thinking it is?" Charlotte offered, with a bit of a chuckle.

"That all some of the art business really is, anyway," Charlotte admitted, with the kind of voice that suggested she loved it anyway. "Someone trying to convince you that this is art, really!"
