Trooper Station, Friday
Okay, Ray did not listen to the radio much. Gossip. Kinda pointless, you know. But he'd been sorta listening last night, and okay, now maybe he felt Fraser was going to need...
Pizza, or something. A good hotdog. Nothing wrong with that.
Between taking yet more phone calls with random complaints (the fluctuating level of animals on island? What?) he was hence making plans for de-emoing a Mountie. Or something.

"Good morning," she said, the tiniest of smiles on her face.

Of course, that's when he actually looked to see who'd just come in, and sat up. "Um, I mean, morning, ma'am, can I help you with anything?" He swore attractive women just swarmed the island or something.

She leaned closer, resting her arm on his desk. "I was hoping to talk to one of the officers about ... well, about Fandom, My name's Sarah Walker."

Huh. Man, she was direct.
"Been a Chicago cop for the past couple of decades," he said, "Then I came here like two months ago. Laughs all around."
Going NFB pls
Re: Going NFB pls
"No turnip trucks here," Ray said. If he'd been in any way unprofessional before because of the whole looks factor, the CIA thing seemed to neutralise it. "Uh, grab a chair, be my guest. CIA liasing with the FPD now or something?"
Re: Going NFB pls
She ran a hand through her hair. "I think they underestimated exactly how interesting Fandom was going to be."

Re: Going NFB pls
"They might," she added, slowly because this was a long speech for Sarah, "at least have warned me about the different worlds."

"Mustang's in charge?" she asked. "What's he like?"

She rested her chin on her fist. "So what's your best guess about what's going on here? I don't have one yet."
Re: Going NFB pls
Ray was a real believer in the alien theory.
Re: Going NFB pls
Chuck could get in so much trouble here.

Though it would make her happy for other reasons.
Re: Going NFB pls
Ray loved to talk about the dinosaurs.

There really wasn't much else she needed to ask right then, and she rose from her chair. "Thanks for talking to me, Detective Kowalski. I'll let you know if anything in particular comes up."

Which wasn't at all awkward or anything. One didn't make desk visits in London, not unless one was a supe and had either more work or more criticism.
"Kowalski. How goes it?"

He eyed the utterly unfinished stack of paperwork. "Eh, I can do that later."

She was thinking she could go for a salad, preferably one with sprouts to help with the clearing out of the bad that was pizza, but Ray didn't exactly strike her as a salad kind of guy.
