Geoffrey was no longer a beaver.

Geoffrey was starting to question his already questionable sanity when it came to the idea of staying in this place if he was going to turn into a beaver once every couple of months.

...Geoffrey was mostly just happy it hadn't happened during a performance.

"All right, everyone, all right... let's get this show on the road."

"All right, folks. I have no idea what you did last week because beavers do not have very high attention spans, whatever you may have been led to believe," he said with a deep sigh.

"So... I'm opening up the play (http://shakespeare.mit.edu/Shakespeare/much_ado/). Any parts (http://www.sparknotes.com/shakespeare/muchado/summary.html) you feel uncomfortable with, I'd like to get them done because we might as well get them worked out now."

Robin was looking at the scene he shared with Hoshi.

Also around, and would really like to know what he missed.

Cal came up to Geoffrey, holding out a cute little kitten with a purple ribbon around her neck, who tried almost immediately to paw at his face.

"Hey," he said. "This is our Bastiana today."

Bastiana gave a little meow.

"At least it's not a show night?" Cal offered, a little guiltily.

Geoffrey tilted his head.

"I... see. And yes, er, not a-- Amber?"

Amber-kitty let out a meow. Who else would it be?

Cal, for his part, nodded, and then tucked Amber-kitty back against his chest, petting her as she attacked his hand. He winced at the claws, but otherwise didn't seem to notice. "Yup," he said. "She's been like this since Thursday. I've been keeping an eye on her."

"I see."

Beat.

"I'm glad someone's looking after her. Having just been a beaver..." And he let his hands flutter thoughtfully.

"...you're not 'nipping her."

He was sixteen and hormonally male. Cal had to snort at Geoffrey's animal, before he asked, " 'nipping her?"

"Catnip."

Since Amber was attacking his hand.

"Oh!" Cal laughed. "No, she's just playful. I have to admit, I've been tempted, but I'm also afraid. Both of what she'll be like on catnip if this is what she's like normally, and of what she'll be like when she's back to normal and I have to deal with the consequences of basically drugging her against her will."

He nodded.

"Good."

He hadn't exactly been worried, but it's one of those questions you just have to ask.

"Well, uh, that should make practice interesting, hmm."

...I haven't been able to FOCUS for the heat. WTF, NYC office. It's NOVEMBER!
