Claire ... had a job.
Funny, that.
She showed up more or less on time and took a few minutes to just walk around the store and get acquainted with the shop, claiming an old playpen for Penelope-the-piglet storage. Then she settled behind the counter and flipped through a book of Life magazine photography from the '70s, periodically pausing to sketch ideas for window displays.
Penelope made happy little grunts as she nosed a ball around her enclosure.
Things Reborn was open.
