The Perk, Sunday morning
There was nothing wrong with having turned into a pig for a week. Penelope had been repeating that to herself for the last few days since having turned back. It's not like she wasn't half way there anyway and learning how Fandom worked with people changing into animals, she wasn't entirely worried. How nice it would have been if she'd left the nose and ears behind, the curse leaving her entirely.
But no. She was still a freak. But a freak with hot cocoa and whipped cream so maybe all was right with her this morning. Staring thoughtfully out the window, Penelope considered what she was going to do today.

His tone was kind and light as he said it, but there was still an underlying sadness to the fact that his more weapon-worn years were definitely in their twilight.
