The balloons floated lazily above the front desk, as if they didn't have a care in the world, and then...

The balloons were gone, and Mary crashed down on the front desk with a yelp. "Okay, that was weird," she said to no one in particular. "At least I still have my clothes, though."
The Arms Hotel was open, though the owner may be a little out of sorts today.
