Pixie Dust, Wednesday, 11/19

It was another ordinary morning at Pixie Dust; Romeo unlocked the store, eyed the liquor under the counter before deciding it was too early, and put a mint in his mouth in hopes it would make him stop thinking about cigarettes. (It didn't quite work, but his misery came with sweet-smelling breath.) Then he started unpacking a large shipment of fur-lined gloves.

He was pausing for another mint when he finally spotted the note on the counter. "Manager?" That was a shock.

He made a few phone calls, then settled behind the counter with a notepad. He definitely needed a better title.

[OOC Edit: After the fashion show, Romeo will give a $20 gift card to anyone who stops in to trade in their assigned outfit.]

Dōjima came bouncing into the store after having gotten his message (http://dojima-hime.livejournal.com/982.html?thread=655062#t655062). "Ohaiyo, aijin! Dou Genki?"

"You," Romeo informed her with a grin, "are looking at the new manager of Pixie Dust. Miss Bell has the misapprehension I'm responsible, somehow." He passed the note across the counter for her to see.

"Uso bakkari!" she laughed, grabbing the note to read it. "I heard radio last night; I was worried you were going to be out of a job!"

"Instead, I'm sleeping with the manager of Pixie Dust." Yurika grinned and leaned over the counter to kiss him. "Does that come with any special perks?"

He returned the kiss eagerly. "I think you can count on extra-attentive assistance," he returned, once they pulled apart. "And of course you can use my employee discount, though I may impose a condition on that."

"Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww." Yurika gave a mock-pout before winking at him and hopping up to sit on the counter. "Don't worry, I'll be good. I won't try and abuse the privilege too much!"

"I was just going to request you model for me," Romeo laughed. "You can abuse the discount all you want. I don't think Tink needs the store to make money, exactly. She told me to give raises to all three of us."

"I can do that," she answered, striking a pose and giggling. "Hey, did you see the posters about the fashion show today? Want to close the shop and go mock our peers?"

"The one in the sex ed room?" Romeo asked. "I think it would be a dereliction of my duties not to see what fashionable attire students are wearing. It may even inspire my merchandise orders. It's this morning, isn't it?"

"Hai, right before my cooking class," Yurika answered, nodding. "You can come back and re-open the store, and I'll bring you back lunch afterwards! Assuming it's edible, of course."

"That sounds like a perfect morning," Romeo said, already moving to lock the register and turn the sign on the door to CLOSED. "And I'm sure whatever you make in cooking class will be as delicious as the cookies. Shall we go?"

Yurika laughed and reached out to link her arm with his. "Hai. And if it is not, I will bring take-away," she promised.

I'll be at a work bowling party most of the afternoon, but around in the morning and tonight.
