Things Reborn, Saturday

Ben was planning on taking the day off tomorrow, but he couldn't really let Things Reborn be closed on the two days it was actually open in a given calendar week, so he split the difference and came in today. It might confuse customers into coming in and buying stuff. He couldn't be sure until he tried.

[OOC: I may be AFK most of tomorrow, so I'm hedging my bets and posting today. Huzzah!]

"Veeeeeee-ry sloooooow," Turtle said with a little bit of a groan. "You get a little impatient, but you also feel very safe. So, if you ever get around to turning into an animal, what do you think you'll would be?"

Turtle grinned. "Aw, come on!" she goaded. "You can get it done and over and out of the way, and then you'll be truly indicted as a citizen of the island."

"Actually animal," Turtle said, with a small roll of her eyes. "Transforming into a different kind of human is something entirely different, but still not rare."

"Good choice!" Turtle complimented, and then looked over her notes, thoughtfully, for the direction of her next question.

"Did you sell things second hand before you came here, Mister Reilly?"

"So," Turtle said, "asking what the strangest thing you've traded was might be a moot point, huh?"

"Well," Turtle noted, with a faint smile, "if that doesn't change after Wednesday, I'm going to be disappointed in my readers!"

"As will I," Turtle admitted. "If it's an consolation, right off the bat, I can offer you a good sale on a giant, furry drool machine."

She didn't think it would hurt to at least try.

"About...yay big," Turtle held up a hand. "Practically non-stop. You just need to feed it and it runs; very organic, and you know everyone's going green these days."

There was a long pause.

"...yes," Turtle admitted.

Turtle sighed. "I figured as much," she said, "but I figured it wouldn't hurt to at least try."

"I think they know I'm onto them," Turtle said. "They've rejected previous attempts."

"Ooh," Turtle said, "a bit of undercover work. I like how you think, Mister Reilly."

"Oh, no," Turtle said. "Thank you, Mister Reilly, for your interview. I think I have everything I'll need, unless you can think of anything else oyu'd like to make sure is included."
