MHA Poolside, Saturday Evening
Even though the weather was only going to get chillier, Loki figured that shouldn't stop anyone from actually being outside. It was just a little cold and that was taken care of with a jacket and some good socks. Anybody who complained hadn't seen real cold.
So, he was out there, having bought a few of those portable, pretentious looking outdoor lights to install around the pool. Not that he minded the dark but he didn't want anyone to fall over him where he was sprawled across a chair.
There was a cooler under his feet (he wasn't partaking) and a blanket over his legs (it was nice, okay?) and he was trying to find stars behind the clouds. He'd thought of just going flying but postponed that for a better night.
Maybe later he'd actually go into the pool. Might be fun.
[I spent all day at work and I wanted to punch the world. So, open, yes. It always said Saturday. Ahem.]

"Don't the lights," she asked, slipping her hands into the warm pockets of her wool coat, "make it harder to see the stars?"

Then her attention shifted back toward Loki. "You're a sight for sore eyes; how's it going?"

She said that last bit with her best American accent, which was, to be truthful, pretty terrible. She gave Loki a faint smile.
"Much better clubs on the mainland."

He grinned at her.
"Are you sneaking off with the pirate in the cold night? You can tell me. I won't tell."

Cupid was a fucking scary thing.

He was going to have nightmares about himself as Cupid.
"So, bad week. What's your plan for tonight, then? Real plan, not the fake plan I'm making up in my head to amuse myself."

He hoped they never revolted. Zombie guts. Ew.
"You've got a thing for dancing, I've noticed. That slow thing we did must have driven you crazy."

With a grin, he added, "But I would love to see you do karaoke."

"But," she added, "only if you do it, too."

He shook a finger at her. "You'll need the earplugs. And it's not like I'm doing anything else right now. If I look at the stars too long, I feel myself turning into a fucking girl."
