MHA Lobby, Tuesday

Loki woke up in a particularly good mood this morning. Well, a good mood for him. The events of last night had only proven that he needed to do things like that more often. Maybe this island wouldn't be so fucking boring if he could make his own fun. He'd done it before, he'd done it a few times during his time here, he could do it consistently.

Unless he got fucking lazy. It happened.

There was a sign on the desk this morning that read The Handywoman lives in Apartment #7. Knock on her door EARLY and OFTEN. He was proud of his handiwork.

Loki himself wasn't behind the counter today. Instead, he was going back and forth between the office and the laundry room in an attempt to do his laundry. While he waiting for that to be done, he was riding a recently purchased old skateboard around the lobby, taking corners sharply, grabbing onto door frames to propel him quicker and, amazingly, staying up on the fucking thing.

"I am awesome!" he said, throwing his arms high. Of course, that would be when he hit something on the floor and went tumbling head over ass. So much for awesome.

[MHA is open, of course!]

Daisy's mood that morning as she was heading off to the station was downright jubulant, which, considering her normal brightness, could register as a little disturbing.

"Morning, Loki; new hobby?"

"Just marvelous," Daisy said, with a little bit of a beam. "Did you see there's even a karaoke contest tonight? Couldn't ask for a better week so far!"

Daisy gave Loki a smile in response. "Or it just shows that the bad never really stays very long. Then again, I made sure it didn't."

"Of course!" Daisy laughed a little. "Are you going? I'm not sure I can perform as well without my number one fan there."

"If you're not there," Daisy decided, "I'm just going to assume that you really couldn't pick back up on the stakeboard thing, and have crashed into a washer unit and are crushed underneath it."

"After the karaoke contest," Daisy said with a nod, "yes."

A girl had to have her priorities, after all. Besides, she felt that minor inconvenience would be a better way to describe the situation for Loki than certain death.

If a washer killed him, she'd be terribly disappointed in him and her theories.

"Or," Daisy pointed out, "you could just skip the whole mess and come tonight."

There was a slight pause.

"I suppose just being careful is also an option, but I'd hate to have you think I've got that high of expectations for you."

Daisy quirked another grin at Loki. "Let's just say," she said, "I'm more worried about the washer unit than I am you."

Daisy's expression twisted a little, as she realized that she could probably stand to hit the gym a bit more herself. "I didn't notice," she admitted. "That was just more of a hunch."

Daisy held up her hands. "No gawking, promise. Maybe some ogling, but they're entirely different."

"Brings out your eyes," Daisy mused, with a little extra, added wistfulness.
