Movie Sign Theatre 3000, Monday Evening
Yurika hadn't felt like catching the newest Bund movie, or that other one with blowing things up. Or even that other one with explosions. She was in the mood for something cute, and, okay, maybe-kinda-date-ish.
Shush. She was, occasionally, allowed to be a bit romantic.
Now Showing
Jack and Jill's Awesome Mixtape
[OOC: For the date, but open for other movie-goers.]

"So, a large popcorn, a large blue Icee, red Twizzlers, and a box of Junior Mints." She looked over at him and grinned. "You want anything to drink, or are you willing to risk the blue tongue and share my slushie?"

He reached for his wallet, glancing at her. "You got the tickets, may I pay for this much?"

Yurika tapped her finger against her cheek, pretending to think about it. "I suppose. Although if we're still bouncing at four in the morning from all the sugar, we're splitting the cost of the pizza we end up ordering," she teased.

He paid the clerk for their food then headed toward the theater, pausing to dump some extra salt on the popcorn with a look of great satisfaction upon his face.

Distracting company, but company.

"It is ethics, I thought being the ideal was the idea," Yurika joked lightly. "I've got my own ethics of what's right and wrong, and that's enough for me. If he disagrees, there's not much I can do to change his opinion." Just like he probably would never change her opinions of his ethics.
"But that is tomorrow, and this is today, and today I have a date." Yurika reached out to link her arm with his as they progressed towards the theater. "A very cute date, I might add, who just volunteered himself to me for the evening!"
She would only use that power for good. Honestly.

He lowered his voice, wanting to ask one other thing before the trailers started. "Had you thought about Christmas?"

Oh blessed kami, she was acting like some lovesick idiot.
"You'll have to help me pick out presents, then, for your cousins," she said firmly. "Christmas is sort of like a Japanese-version of Valentine's Day, so I have no idea what's appropriate." There. See? That was easy to say.
Ignore the blushing. It's totally a trick of the light.

He squeezed her hand. "Of course I'll go shopping with you, but any gift would be mroe than enough. They'll just be happy to see you again." Shocked he was still with her, perhaps, but happy. And his father ... was his father.

And then the previews were starting, so he hushed, but he kept hold of her hand. He could eat his candy with the other one.
