What? It was cold out. And Coyote liked the way this particular form totally didn't care.

Toasty warm animal skins are on special! If you object to fur, Coyote will tell you they're fake! Or possibly give you a lecture on traditions and how the native people know how to honor an animal's sacrifice and make proper use of the entire animal so as not to waste anything.

But he'll probably just tell you they're fake.

Jack had run out of patience. He'd tried the meditation thing, sat and thought about something or nothing or whatever, but it still wasn't working. Whatever the "it" was.


So now, here he is, charging into the medicine shop to confront that Coyote guy. And....that's a giant white bear of doom. "Uh. Nice bear?"

The bear blinked sleepily at Jack, then rose to its full height, spread its paws, and said "welcome to my store!"

It came out as a roar.

Apparently, Coyote had forgotten what form he was in.

Jack backpedaled himself into a display of something trying to get away from the large loud thing that wanted him dead.

Coyote tilted his head at that reaction.

"You break it, you bought it," he said.

It probably came out fairly grumbly-mumbly.

On her way back from talking to Ender, Ino stopped in, after realizing there was someone else who really ought to know that Ichigo wasn't going to make it to work this week. "Hello?"

Coyote lifted his head and grinned a toothy, bear-y grin at her.

He remembered himself and spoke in English this time, though.

"Welcome to my store!"

Tony still had some Christmas shopping to do (what? Plenty of time!) so he went into Coyote Medicine to hopefully get some ideas. And stopped.

"Bear," he said. Big bear. Crap.

"Where?" said the bear, looking over his shoulder. "Oh, no, that's just a bear fur."

"But you're..." Tony waved a hand at the bear, then looked at the bear fur. "Uh, that doesn't bother you?"

"Are you really a bear?" Tony tried to look at the bear on a magical level, to see if it was an illusion. Which amounted to him tilting his head and squinting at the bear.
