Wellspring Arms & Meditation Center, Wednesday

Ino showed up promptly on time according to her schedule and ‘ridiculously early’ according to nearly everyone else’s schedule and bustled around the place taking care of the plants and making sure the store was clean.

After that, though, she flopped down in Cable-san’s chair and considered whether she ought to bring Ichigo lunch today, like normal, or if she should just... not. And spend the time studying instead. Studying was winning out for the moment, so she pulled out a notebook and started reviewing her notes.

Wellspring Arms is Open.

Liir came by with lunch for her, a little early since he now felt confident in taking a break instead of having to run in and out. Class on a workday was uncomfortable.

"Ino?"

He kept it relatively quiet, since he didn't want to disturb anyone, but he'd missed her rather a lot and there was soup! And sticky buns!

"Someone's been busy," he said as he put the bag down on the counter.

"Hello, Ino. Brought you lunch. No puppy, unfortunately, but hopefully the sticky buns will make up for that."

"She's hard to season, with all the squirming," he agreed with a prim smile.

"And then even if you get it on her, she licks it all off. Very difficult."

"I am more for sturdy and appetizing presentation myself," he admitted with a nod.

"And yes, I suppose that and the fur are all that preserve her from the oven."

There was a small container of soup, a sandwich, a package of sticky buns, and a jar of cold, sweet green tea.

He laughed, just a little.

"Just doing my brotherly duty. And I brought so much since I wanted to make sure there'd be something in there you'd like."

He winced.

Even if some small, selfish part of him was glad for it.

"Well, no worries on my front. I'm not about to go anywhere."

He leaned against the counter.

"How are you otherwise? Besides mocking my unfortunate state for the last few days."

"Putting stuff into scrolls?"

He wasn't quite sure what she could mean there.

He blinked.

"Really? How does that work?"

He shook his head and even his shoulders a little.

"That's just... very very odd. But I suppose it'd be useful."

"You never struck me as the type," he admitted as he pulled out a jar of tea for himself.

"Relying on something like that so heavily."

"It makes sense to me, for what that's worth," he said thoughtfully.

"I probably shouldn't be as reliant on the broom as I am, but it's one of my," and he grinned at her, "mostly unique skills."
