Luke's Diner, January 12 (Monday)
Lacey was apparently doing her best impression of the Caritas band, shuffling around the diner mostly asleep, and not even all the coffee she could drink (she'd designated one burner on the machine just for herself today) was helping.
Renting and watching all three extended editions of King of the Bracelets last night had not been one of her better ideas.
The kitchen staff, for their part, were braced just in case all the caffeine kicked in at once and she got scary on them.
Above the specials board was a sign matching the one in the window, reading:
Luke's is open. Braaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaains. No, wait . . .
