It was so, so nice to have thing back to normal again, putting Charlotte in a very bright sort of mood as she came down to open the gallery today, and taking extra care to make sure that the Sunday tea was all nice and ready, even though no one ever really came and had some.

She kept herself busy in the reception area, being neat and tidy and generally cheerful instead of going into the main gallery with the Larson exhibit. It was just too cold in those pictures for a sunny disposition. And, of course, there was always work to be done at the computer, after making at least one quick phone call to Dale.

The "Now Hiring Satudays" sign was still in the window, as well.

The York Gallery is open!

Charlotte's there and exceptionally personable today.

So far.

Dale had taken Elisabeth Taylor for a walk and had exited through the back entrance before heading off to the office to take care of some paperwork ~~and thus handling any confusing time issues! Yay!~~.

Returning from the office he went in to the Reception area with some hot coffee from the perk and a bag of goodies from J'Gob including a specially ordered dog pastry for Ms. Taylor.

Yes. Dale was completely spoiling that dog.

"Hello, Charlotte," Dale said cheerfully. "How are you this fine day?"

The coffee and the goodies bag in Dale's hands were a welcome sight, but her shoulders fell a little when she saw that he'd already been out.

"Oh," she noted. "Fine. I take it you didn't get my message?"

She knew she should have just left a note on the coffee machine to make sure he got it.

"I'm sorry, no I didn't. I headed straight to the office this morning," Dale said shaking his head. "Is there something wrong?"

"Oh, no!" Charlotte answered quickly, shaking her head, and she smiled, because she thought it was adorable that he went into the office on a Sunday morning to do work. It made her sigh with happy admiration. "Nothing like that. It's just that I was talking to Mina yesterday about how we serve tea every Sunday, but she works at the clinic, and so I said if I could, I'd try to send some over. I figured, if you were going to be out with Elizabeth Taylor, you could bring it around, but it's no problem. She said only if it wasn't any inconvenience."

"Well it's a brisk day outside and I'm sure Ms. Taylor would love the exercise," Dale said cheerfully. "It's certainly not an inconvenience for me to do a quick drop off at the clinic."

"Are you suure?" Charlotte asked, in the type of voice that suggested that, yes, Dale was very sure, and he'd be very silly to answer otherwise.

"Positive," he said leaning over to give her a quick office-appropriate kiss. "Just let me get the leash and Ms. Taylor and I will go for another walk."

The office-appropriate kiss got a beam out of Charlotte and a small kiss back that threatened the office-appropriate line but just barely. "Thank you, sweetheart," she said. "I'll get everything ready for it."

Charlotte's thinking about installing some heaters just to help prevent the chilling effects of the photographs (http://www.magnusmuller.com/index4.php).

Post likely to be updated often with phonecalls. Char has so many damn phone icons, it would be a shame not to go crazy today.
