The Lighthouse Tuesday January 20
Snow fall was pretty. Unless you had to trudge through it. It wasn't so bad when he'd first set out, but by the time he got to the lighthouse, he'd thoroughly had enough.
Houston was feeling much the same. The dog had run through snow drifts, chased snowflakes and had a good old time until he started to feel the cold. Then he was less than a happy dog and looking at Murdock like 'c'mon, aren't we there yet? it's cold! i'm cold! why aren't we inside?'
Both dog and human headed straight for the nearest heater once they got to the lighthouse. Somehow, Murdock didn't think a whole lot of work was going to get done today.
Except when the delivery guys showed up. They didn't like hauling furniture and other items through snow either, and they let Murdock know in no uncertain terms.
It was stacking up to be a long day.
(open! and method rp strikes again, as yes, we *DO* have snow down here today. I blame you all.)

Tully rode the horse up to the lighthouse and dismounted, leading him to the heated shed. "I'll build you a stable later." he assured him. Then he headed to where the delivery men and Murdock were.
"I promise, I did not schedule all this knowing there'd be snow."

That's when he realized he'd completely misunderstood the message he'd gotten Sunday. He might have to call a few people this evening to straighten that out.
"You left me a message about this, didn't ya?" It was more a statement than a question.

"Then it's coming along nicely. I was going to do some plastering today, but I don't think it'll dry very well in this cold."

Tully nodded. "Yeah you're probably right. And wall paper glue won't dry any better. Man this was so much easier in the tropics."

Murdock had gotten far too used to LA weather.
"Can't we have snow without the cold part? Be so much better that way."

"Oh, and I should thank you for lettin' me use the lighthouse last week. That turned out real well," he grinned.

"But ya know, now's a pretty good time too. Since it's chilly an' all, gives a good reason to drag along a blanket and get cosy," he waggled his eyebrows.

"There's a few possibilities." Tully admitted.

"Flowers dude," he nodded, "they're a big help."

He was really working to keep from laughing his butt off. It was marginally successful.
Murdock's sense of humor was sometimes a little skewed. Inverted, even.
