Trooper Station; Tuesday [ 02/03 ].
It was very, very rare indeed for Daisy to lose her cool while in uniform. It was like the blues just worked exceptionally well as a devise to keep everything in, but today, they seemed to have lost their powers.
"Oh, for Pete's sake, Ralph, will you just go out and patrol? I'd do it my bloody self just so I don't have to hear you comment one more time on how my bum looks today, but it's bloody cold and I don't want to and I've actually got work to do today. And I wasn't even going to say anything because that's all part of the thing, innit? Like Sergeant Angua said, real coppers give each other hell, but honestly, it's hard to work when every two seconds is about my bum. I actually didn't want to say anything, actually..."
But she found it all coming out anyway.
"...so just...go and...I don't know, check to make sure none of the kids about town are actually truant from class right now. Something. Just stop talking about my bum, as much as I appreciate the compliment. Go talk about Kowalski's or something. His ain't half bad. either."
And then when another trooper came up and asked her where the extra coffee was and she said something to the tune of checking to see if Coop was hording it in his office for after hours, she knew it was going to be one long, bloody day.
[[ it's the only place where the truth thing would have any annoying effect on Daisy at all; of course I had to post it! Open station is open! ]]
