It was a flailing Prince Edward who came into the diner today to work his shift. Forget that he was a little late. He was flailing! He shouldn't have said things to Adora but he couldn't keep his mouth shut.

The staff had already put up the menu board for which he was eternally grateful.

He found a seat behind the counter and sat, determined to keep his mouth shut.

Of all days to come in here and talk to Edward, this was probably the worst. But what the heck. She'd survived talking to Leto. And Ronan. How much worse could this be? She could surf the conversation, right?

"Hi Edward! Yay, you're wearing your poofy shirt!"

Okay, maybe she should turn around and walk right out again.

"Dinah!" he beamed. "My-" he looked down at his princely attire, then back to her. "It's.. Yes, ah-hah, I am! You look lovely today, as ever!"

Dinah gaped at him, then tried to focus on the cooking! Yes, food! "Actually anyone who's not a prince can cook and sometimes even then, you have got to get over this peasant thing, Edward. And what did you ask her about the skin?"

"I apologized for being drunk and she wants to kiss me everywhere. Without clothes! I'm sorry, Dinah! These words have no ending!"

"I know you're trying I'm sorry I didn't mean to give you a hard time and not like that either, that would be hot but mean." Dinah gulped for breath, face flaming. "I can't stop talking either and holy hell do you even know what sex is, Edward?"

"It would be hot? Do you want to touch me to make sure?" WAIT. "Holy hell I saw it on the Magic Mirror, Dinah! And it was messy!" And with two women, so that would be a no. "Your cheeks are so red. Shall I get you some water? Can I touch your cheek?"

Dinah's brain shut down for a moment on that question, and a "Yes," got blurted out before she could call it back, hopefully to be confused with "Water! Please! Um, okay, but after the water, please?"

"Water!" he exclaimed and quickly got her a glass and handed it over.

"Touch you now or after or I shouldn't want to touch you?"

Something was wrong with this day.

He was going to dispatch Queen Narissa to the netherlands of... somewhere, whenever he got his hands, or sword, on her!

Priestly had fled the school in hopes that the town was immune.

"Edward, I'm gonna tell you to run me through with your sword, but I totally don't mean it."

Okay, apparently not. Priestly groaned, flopped into a table, and started -- gently -- thumping his forehead down on it.

Priestly let his head come to rest face down on the table and muttered "I'm not a priest," into it. Then, louder, he added "I think we're cursed."

"Well, for one thing, I just found out that, like," he totally wanted to exaggerate and say 'half the girls at school' but ended up just going with a truthful "three girls at school have crushes on me, I admitted I want to see Claudia naked, asked my teacher about his sex life, and told him my real first name, and I still can't shut up about anything but the truth. So, yeah. Cursed."

Prince Edward gasped.

"Three girls have crushes on you? What kind of crushes? Does it hurt? I want to see women naked and not together on the Magic Mirror. I'd like it if you told me about sex and what it is because I have a date, Priest! She wants to kiss me all over! I've upset Dinah who is jealous!"

Priestly lifted his head about an inch and a half off the table and peered at Edward from under his brows for a long moment.

And then proceeded to explain everything he knew about sex. In graphic detail. With hand gestures. And references to all the various websites, movies (both adult rated and not), television shows, songs, and dirty jokes he'd picked most of the knowledge up from.

It was eleven years of public schooling, playground conversations, messing around under the bleachers, and his dad's "birds and the bees" speeches all rolled into one.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.
