A day of being completely honest? Well, Coyote had been pretty sure that'd be like any other day.

Until he started figuring out how he wanted to sell some of his stock, today.

He couldn't compliment the customers and tell them what they wanted to hear. He couldn't claim that most of his stuff was authentic native American artwork. He couldn't even try to tell the ducks in the park that the steam room really was for purification purposes.

So he took his shirt off, instead. People in this town seemed to like that sort of thing.

Yeah, it really is pretty crappy. Except those drums. Those are actually pretty authentic.

Might be a slightly iffy proposition, today.

Annja had decided that she could hide at the store for the day, but when she saw the sign, she wasn't so sure it was a good idea.

She went inside any way.

"Hello! How can I help you spend your -- oh, you work here."

"Hi there. I take it your day is as annoying as mine has been."

"No one wants to buy anything when you tell them what it really is."

She nodded. "That's the hazard of always telling the truth. How many people have you sent running screaming?"

"None. I think they all turn away when they see my sign."

"That saves you the awkwardness of face to face encounters."

[[OOC: Heading home.]]

"But my charm could over come my honesty, right?"

"If people are interesting yes." Annja didn't have a problem with honesty.

Coyote nodded. "Most people are interesting. Sometimes. People are very strange."

"A lot of people are very stupid, though," Annja said.

"Yes. And that can be interesting."

"Up to a point," she agreed. "But then they bring weapons into it and it gets really messy."

"Weapons are very stupid. It's much better to trick people into doing what you want."

"You and Roux would get along great."

Damn it.

"That would be a bad idea. He'd try to con you into protecting the sword."

Damn it again.

"Who is Roux? And I don't want to protect a sword."

"He's pretending to be my guardian until I get my own age body back and I carry the magical sword so he protects us." Annja groaned. "Let's go back to talking about you and sex."

"We were talking about sex?"

"No but I was thinking about it." Annja hit her head on the counter.

She should really go before she dug her hole any deeper.

"I like sex," Coyote said. "And I'm not very particular about who I have it with. If you want to have sex, then say so."

She should not proposition the boss. She should not proposition the boss.

"Let's have sex."

She'd be horrified about her bluntness tomorrow.

"Okay!" Coyote moved foward, taking off his pants.

He wasn't much of one to stand on ceremony.

Annja laughed and shook her head. "Let's at least lock up the store first. As much as some people would like to watch, I am not an exhibitionist."

Coyote looked towards the door and shrugged. "It's locked."

A cockroach was making a beeline for the backroom, apparently not interested in watching, now that it had locked the door for Chief of Without Fires.

Annja double-checked the door and made sure all of the window shades were closed before they got down to business.

Yeah, the whole purification thing? Totally just a matter of sweating till you pass out and hallucinate.

But you pass out and hallucinate in a spiritual way.

Oh, sure, the day I finally remember to post with Coyote, LJ goes wonky. That just figures.
