Sushi Station, Friday afternoon

"No hats, no classes, no work, no taxes," Dinah sang as she bounced down the block ahead of Merlin and Tony. "Just sushi sushi suuuushi!" She held the door for them. "And possibly caffiene."

[ooc: for a wizardly duet. Not like that.]

"I don't think you need any more caffeine," Tony said with a grin.

"And some of us did have class today," Merlin piped up, smiling as well.

"Well, others of us did too, we're just glad there's no assembly on drug use or hat abuse we have to stick out now," Dinah said with a grin, stopping inside the front atrium to sniff. "Mmmm. Besides, it's now officially the weekend! Recovery time! Recreation!"

"With sushi!" Tony agreed. He'd only had sushi a couple of times, in Vancouver.

Merlin nodded happily, as if he was completely on board with that.

"...what is sushi, exactly?"

"Delicious fish!" Dinah didn't look at Merlin, just raised her eyebrows at Tony. "With spices and rice and rolled in little rolls and dunked in sauces and it's mmmmmmmmmmmmm." She grinned at him, and poked his side as the waitress took them to a booth. "So what are *you* doing this weekend?"

Well, that didn't sound too bad.

Merlin snorted, giving her a sideways glance. "I have a date," He informed her proudly.

Tony's eyebrows went up. "Oh, really? Who with?"

"Franciiiiiine," Dinah sang. "Unless you got another date since Wednesday night? Hmmmm? Yes? Yay!"

"No, just the one," Merlin confirmed. "We're going to Il Pollo."

There was a small pause before he asked, "What else do you do on a date here?"

"Congratulations! Maybe a long walk on the beach?" Tony suggested. "Though it's kind of cold for that. There's Fast Eddie's, too."

"Fast Eddie's?"

"I think it's got bowling and stuff. Games," he clarified.

"Pool!" Dinah said, picking up a menu. "Cal told me, I think. It's a fun game with a table and balls, Merlin. It'd give you something to talk about. Aside from what the squirrels will put in the notes," she added mischievously. "I'm so glad you managed to ask her out!"

"She thought I was asking her about goats first," Merlin replied, watching the odd moving food.

Tony gave him a funny look. "Why would you ask her about goats?"

Dinah kind of stared at Merlin too. "Is this a Camelot thing?"

"I didn't ask about goats!" Well, not until she brought it up. "I may have spoken too quickly and she got the wrong impression."

"Oh, good," Tony said, still not sure where the goats came from. "I don't think there's any goats on the island."

"Okay, getting away from the livestock. 'Cause that's disturbing in context. So, dinner, and Fast Eddie's, and can I add yay?" Dinah bounced in her seat, and told the server, "Winter Roll, and, um, California Roll? We can always take extra back." Or possibly force Merlin to try more.

"She didn't think so either." Which was a damn good thing all in all. "...does food always pass by you here?"

"It's revolving sushi," Tony said. "You just sort of help yourself and then they charge you for what you ate."

"Oooooo," Dinah said, snagging a bite of spider roll, a bite of tuna roll, and a bite of tempura as they trolleyed by. "This was such a good idea. Merlin, have you had Italian food before, either?"

She suddenly had an image of two little cartoon dogs, and pasta. And was beginning to worry.

"How do they know what you had?" Merlin asked, watching the sushi go by. It was raw. Surely there was some sort of mistake here.

"Is Italian good like this?"

Tony grabbed a tuna roll as it went by. "By the plates, I think. Italian's good, but different. Pizza's kinda Italian."
