Covent Garden Flowers [Open 2/9]

A very confused Joan showed up on time to open the flower shop. She wondered if there was any reasonable explanation for why she had spent the weekend thinking she was some hippie chick documentary filmmaker named Tibby.

Thanks to her confusion, the E was missing from the sign today. She didn't even think about making a new one.

Joan shrugged. "I'm not sure yet. I'm probably supposed to go to the dance since I'm on Student Council."

"Gotothedancewithme?" Marco blurted out and then remembered that actually breathing was a good idea. He's had a long weekend, okay? "Would you like to go to the dance with me?"

The question caught Joan off guard, but she smiled. "Yeah, that would be cool."

Marco grinned. "Awesome. And I promise, I don't have another girlfriend. Even when Angelina Jolie asked." Someone, just smack him already.

Joan chuckled. "That's good to know. But I really don't think I'd blame you if you did say yes to Angelina."

"Yeah, but there's the whole 'adopting 20,000 kids' thing." Marco shook his head. "It's weird being 8 years out of sync."

"Yeah, I can't even imagine what that would be like," Joan said.

"I know, just imagine the cost of diapers." Marco said, going for the wrong thing on purpose with a grin.

Joan rolled her eyes. "I think they can afford it."
