The Gig [Tuesday]

Aravis had been herself all weekend, and kept to her own room. She remembered last year, with the flying and everything, and was concerned that if she ventured out, it may have affected her.

She was happy to laugh at others all week, though, and was in a very good mood as she moved about the Gig today.

After his workout in the salle, Ben wandered down to the Gig, hot chocolate in hand.

"Hi!"

"Hello," she said happily, wandering over to accept the hot chocolate.

"You're in a good mood," he observed with a smile. "Did you have a nice weekend?"

"I had nothing happen to me," she said, pleased.

"I turned into an old guy who got away with yelling at my grandfather," Ben said, equally pleased.

"Impressive!" Aravis congratulated. "Last year when this insanity happened, I was a witch."

"A witch?" Ben repeated, laughing. "Really?"

"I flew," she said solemnly.

"With what?" Ben asked.

"A stick," she said honestly.

Ben burst out laughing. "Really?"

"Yes, Seely was very concerned when I flew out the window," she recalled.

"He didn't see the stick?" Ben teased.

"I somehow don't think the stick much alleviated his worry," she said.

"If you ever fling yourself out of the window again, I'll look for a stick," he assured her. "Also, I could catch you if you forgot it."

"What if you were indoors?" she wondered.

Ben wriggled his fingers. "I'm a Jedi," he said, aiming for "mysterious" and ending somewhere that...wasn't.

"Oooh," said Aravis, aiming for "impressed" and meeting about the same margin.

He laughed. "I'm totally impressive!" he claimed.

"I made an impressed noise!" she agreed.

"It was a very impressive impressed noise," Ben said, just being silly now.

"I did my best," she assured him.

He laughed. "What else did you do as a witch? Or just a lot of flying?"

"I almost shot Karal," she recalled.

Ben's eyes went huge. "For what?"
