Wellspring Arms & Meditation Center

Just another nice, normal day at the Arms as Biff sat behind the counter, eager to help all who came in.

...um, ignore the hat he was wearing. And the kilt.

[OOC: Open & OCD free!]

And look who happened to stroll in. Like he wasn't going to check to see if Biff had actually done it. He didn't doubt it (it was Biff, after all) but he had to check.

"That looks so fucking good on you," he greeted.

"Really?" He'd remember that. "Come out from behind the counter and do a little turn on the catwalk."

Stop watching reality shows, Loki.

"You look fucking fierce," Loki said, appraising him slowly. "I'm swooning on the inside. Really."

"Well, way to ruin my fucking day," he said, sounding so offended. "The hat looks good on you. Now people can think you're overcompensating for something."

"Biff, what?!" Loki gasped, hand to his chest. "I thought I was your one and only!"

"Yeah, that's right, I'd better fucking be especially after those flowers," Loki said. "Which, by the way, are sitting on my nightstand. First thing and last thing I see each night and my heart flutters. Sigh."

Yes, he said sigh out loud.

"Yes," he said and smiled. "I have to vocalize how much the flowers meant to me and the only way was to say the word out loud. I thought it effectively conveyed my feelings."

It wasn't until afternoon that Daisy came into Wellspring, with at least somewhat of an attempt to not accept that it was Sunday already, which meant that tomorrow was Monday and, although the effort had been valiant, she couldn't exactly stave off the eventual return to a place where the bad guy got away and the supposed good guys were a-okay with this.

There would, however, be no ignoring that hat. Or the kilt. The hat, however, got precedence on comment. "Now that you've your house to yourself now," she mused, "you've just got a whole room dedicated to random hats, haven't you?"

Grinning slightly, Daisy held up both her hands, shifting them as if weighing the possibilities. "Hard to tell," she said, although, really, it wasn't. "I mean, one was with a guy who's apparently saved Los Angeles countless times. Something like that holds a lot of water with a girl like me."

She didn't think karaoke with Ben afterwards would count, since it wasn't one of the official rounds. Then it would be no contest. It was hard to beat karaoke.

"Yours?"

"Awww," Daisy grinned, feeling a little relieved that at least she wasn't the only one thrown in with all but one being someone she knew (and, well, one being incredibly not even an option). "Who's that, then?"

[identity profile] justice-beat.livejournal.com 2009-02-15 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
"Don't think I know her," said Daisy, shaking her head after a moment of thought. To her, especially recently, that was probably a good sign, as it meant she hadn't seen the name in any recent reports at work. "And, you've got to admit, it's a pretty intriguing detail, all things considered."

"Or possibly just mad," offered Daisy. "Although I can't personally imagine why anyone could think that of anyone in such a cunning hat."

It was hard to get off the hat, okay?

It really, really did.

"Oh? Has he got one, too?"
