Cafe Fina

Lion-o was running a little behind in sending his latest report to the Thundercats Council. He just wasn't sure how to explain the events from two weekends ago.

Snarf made him sit off by himself and finish his letter home, but the staff took pity on him and kept bringing him cookies.

"Lion-o? Heeey!" Momoko popped her head into the cafe and waved. She would probably be seeing him later at club, but she'd said she would visit him at work and she'd been bad about doing that, so here she was, wandering happily over to his table. "Am I disturbing your homework time?"

"You have to send reports home? Ew!" She bounced into one of the other chairs at the table and smiled. "What kind of report? Can I help?"
heromaniac: (argh)

Momoko rolled her eyes. "Last weekend again, ugh. How on earth could you miss it! Or do you just not remember much of it because of who you were?"
heromaniac: (Laughter)

Momoko couldn't help it, she laughed. Not harshly, mind you. "Sorry," she managed as a quick wheeze, but that was all.

"It's certainly one way to avoid the weird stuff, but not very effective. You should have tried to at least see what was going on or if anyone was hurt." Momoko was still giggling so her lecture probably wasn't very lecture-y. She pointed at his report. "I got turned into a five year old girl who can shoot lasers out of her eyes! And I flew patrols of the island with my sister Bubbles, looking for bad guys to beat up. We helped stop some cat lady from robbing the bank and we met a talking duck with a weird taste in clothes and a grappling hook. Does that help?"
heromaniac: (thinking)

Momoko frowned, thinking about that. "I was her. I wasn't me thinking I was her. Her thoughts, her abilities, her clothes... we both had a pink hair bow, though, which was weird, but only afterwards, when I remembered." Momoko patted her bow. "I didn't realise I was supposed to be someone else, no. It wasn't until Monday morning that I was back to me and was able to remember all of my memories and all of the stuff she had in her head while she was me."

She blinked at him. "Did that make sense?"

"I had a ton of pie in class today," Momoko pouted and rubbed her stomach. "But maybe a few? What kind of cookie is it? I didn't stop to read the sign today, just in case."
heromaniac: (eating yay)

"Oooh. Some cookies and then some black tea! That would be good!" She raised a hand happily. "And yeah, Food Appreciation class, remember? Every week we explore a different type of food! Which of course means we have to eat eat eat!" There was some over eager chomping after she finished her sentence.
heromaniac: (yay 1)

It was totally as if they were just waiting in the wings! Momoko loved the Cafe Fina! She grinned and gave them all a wave hello.

"Well, since all we do is listen to a lecture and then eat the food, I'd guess it would be much easier than talking about angry royalty." She bit into a cookie. "How can you have a class on that anyhow?"

Momoko dropped her head to the table and pouted. "Oh sure, bring up transcripts. How weird are mine going to look: I've taken classes like 'How to Keep you Neck in Modeling' and 'Food Appreciation' and 'Superhuman Physics' and I'm in a gun club." She lifted her head, reaching to pour the tea. "Well, at least I'm getting good grades." She hoped.

Momoko drank some tea as she waved an arm to negate his statement. "No no no. My parents don't know I'm here! Well, they know I'm at an American boarding school, but they don't know that it's not a normal one that teaches, like, normal stuff. Only my friends and the Professor know what this place is really like!"

[am off to bed, sorry!]

"Hmmm. Maybe? Other people had to have had weird classes and I know one person who graduated and went home and got a super cool job as a police officer and he wasn't mad about having come here or saying that it messed up his future," she pointed her cookie at Lion-o. "Which is really the future, by the way! But I don't want to think about that right now."

The future was the future and for someone who's goal was to get married and beat up bad guys, there was little point in worrying about it. That thinking was, of course, what made her flunk her high school exams, but she'd come out of that okay, right? She'd gotten in here! She shrugged and popped the last of the cookie in her mouth. "Who's 'Lord Tygra'? A relative? Is he the one I have to ask about seeing your ship when he comes to visit?

"If he's a scientist, he probably gets really confused about your reports, huh? When I send emails back to Professor Utonium and Ken they send me back more questions than you can believe and then lecture me about what I should and shouldn't do next."

"I know! And then when we stopped moving and weren't in Virginia anymore? That confused them even more!" She giggled, then raised a finger and deepened her voice a bit, "Momoko-chan, islands don't just decide to swim north or grow to double its size overnight! It's not scientifically possible."

She rolled her eyes and grinned. "They'd never leave the island! And then I'd be lectured at everyday about the place and they'd ask a whole bunch of weird questions in classes and I'd be lucky if they let me out of my room if they met any of you boy students! Ah!" Her grin turned a wee bit evil. "Maybe you should invite Lord Tygra, hmmmm? Think of how he'd react if he came here to see you at work with sentient silverware!"

"That's lucky! My scientists would move on eventually, but I'd be very annoyed until then." Momoko took a moment to inhale her tea and relax. "So, have you heard from home yourself? How's your dad?"
