Strokes of Genius, Wednesday
By some minor miracle, Katchoo had managed to not spend all her money on cigarettes and art supplies, and even saved up enough to buy herself a cheap MP3 player -- not that she had a computer, but she also had no compunctions about using the computer lab for such purposes.
Earphones plugged in, she settled in behind the counter with some of her newly acquired music cranking; she had to grin (yes, she did that sometimes, thank you) at a song called "Georgia O" that she'd stumbled across while websurfing last week -- that random find was not only responsible for the prompt she'd left for the art club members on Monday, but the purchase of the MP3 player itself; there was no way she could have passed up trying to get her hands on that song.
Driving into Santa Fe, dreaming of the day I'll make it mine
That day is coming
Ani DiFranco on the tape player -- thinking of the things I'd say to her if I could
But I just keep humming . . .
It wasn't her usual fare, but she was getting pretty into it -- except that the song kept cutting out on the last verse, or she'd yank her headphones loose, or she'd accidentally hit the Skip button on the stupid device she hadn't gotten the hang of yet.
And yet, for just about every other track she'd uploaded onto the thing so far, she wasn't having any trouble.
Of course Katchoo was in a bad mood today. But at least she had a new and slightly different reason to be?
[OOC: The OCD, it's still on the road heading for another joint. Open! Also, I feel compelled to mention that the lyrics in that link are, er, possibly NWS for obvious metaphor.]

However he was looking over the inventory of the store with significant interest.

She raised an eyebrow, but didn't say anything just yet.
Look, she had half-siblings that size. She knew what they could do.

"Interesting store," he said.

"Yes."
He looked around the store for a moment before nodding.
"Paint."

"Geez, it's not like buying paint is a crime or something." Oh right, he probably wasn't from around here. "Is it?"

...At least she's inflicting bagels too?
"Hiiiii!"

Regardless of the cause, though, a happy Francine always made Katchoo smile, and she yanked her earphones out.
"Well, hello there, tall, dark, and bubbly!"

See, as far as she was still aware, that whole brownies thing had just been a squirrel rumor to see if they could drive her nuts (pun intended, thank you) in the radio booth that one night.
