The Perk, Friday Morning
She was, in theory studying her medical texts. In reality, she was far more interested in playing with the whipped cream on top of her hot chocolate, and staring out the window.
Still, Ino supposed it was okay, since she was getting a decent bit of work done anyway. Just a lot slower than she could if she’d really put her effort into it all. But, hey, hot chocolate. With whipped cream.
It seriously deserved at least some attention.
[Open, of course!]

She wasn't exactly in the best of moods, but not enitrely cranky either.
She gave Ino a little wave when she saw her sitting by the window. "Hey.."

Uh. Did that even make sense?
no subject
"What've you been up to lately?" 'Cause, you know, they haven't spoken since the whole Liir-Arm thing.
no subject
...
"...kinda crappy, really," she said, slightly dubiously. "You?"
no subject
"...kind of crappy too, but not too crappy I guess. What's up?"
no subject
"...had a fight with Liir?" she tried.
no subject
"I didn't know; he's not said anything." Really.
"Pretty bad one?"
no subject
no subject
"Liir yelled at you to get the hell out?"
no subject
"Yeah. So, uh, it's weird he didn't mention it to you."
no subject
"Which stands to reason, considering, yah? What did you guys fight about anyway?"
no subject
Ino set her cup down with a thump.
"This is stupid. Do you want to know, or not? 'Cause I already know you aren't going to like it, so I might as well get two people pissed off at me instead of one, even though he doesn't seem to give a shit either."
no subject
Amber set her cup down too and looked at her evenly. "Yah, I want to know, but hold judgement, okay? You don't know if I'll get pissed or not."
no subject
"He loves someone, apparently anyway, but then they get fed up with the way he clings because apparently he can't go a day without seeing them, and every time they do something he doesn't like it's all 'woe, for I was terribly abused as a child and you ought to pity me 'cause I just don't understand.' It's the way, when the person he's nearly surgically attached himself too gets fed up with that crap, and he just... moves on to the next person like the one they were with before doesn't even count. Never even counted. That's sick. That's wrong. That's not love at all if you can drop them and never care at all after. People you love aren't supposed to change as easy as changing your pants."
"I told him that I didn't want his passive-aggressive apologies that try to turn every fight around so that it's all my fault. I told him I didn't trust him one bit because he's made it impossible for me to. I told him, and I quote, 'People aren't meant to be used as anchors the way you use them. It's a trap, it fucks with the other persons' head, and then to save themselves they lash out at the source. You're too dependent on someone else for your stability.' That's when he yelled for me to get out. And I did, proving that I have more consideration for him than he did for me the last time I yelled for him to get out and he wouldn't go."
"That's what I told him." She leaned back in her chair, picking up her hot chocolate, and radiating fury. "And what does he do? Goes and plays with his dog as pleased as he can be. Shows how much I matter, right?"
no subject
Then, "Fuck."
That was a mouthful. It was a lot. And how in the hell was she supposed to take that in and... "Fuck."
Yeah, Amber wasn't real intelligent with the words here, yet. Give her a minute.

Ino settled for getting more whipped cream on her nose as she took another sip.
[Fleeing home! Back in about an hour!]
no subject
"I don't know," she said, glancing out the window, hand to forehead. "I don't know what to think. He never acted like you two had such a horrid fight. Never said a word. He's been happy, you know? With me. At least I thought, or think he is. I don't see him as clingy, or as needy, but shit, Ino, that's one bad fucking fight and I feel... hell, I don't know what to feel or think."
She glanced back at her. "What set this off?"
[Okie dokie!]
no subject
She shrugged, the motion a bit jerky. "If he's been all happy, then I guess that proves my point, and I've been very thoroughly 'dumped' and replaced in his life by you."
no subject
...
"Was he just as mean to you as you were to him?"
no subject
Ino was grumpy, yeah. "Mean? In that fight? Oh, you mean like him claiming that he's not trusted me for months 'cause of a phone call where I said I was fine so I could get so space to make myself be fine? Apparently that's too big of a lie for him, so he hasn't trusted me then. So, really, he's the one that's been lying the whole damn time. And I didn't even know it, he never mentioned anything 'bout the phone call. I think that's a whole lot meaner than me telling him to his face what I think."
no subject
But she said, "I'm wondering why, if you feel for him like you do, you are wasting your energy on being pissed instead of just writing him off."
[Zomg so sorry. Unexpected company was unexpected.]
no subject
[NP! Heee.]
no subject
"Either you care or you don't. Either he's your brother, or he's not. You love someone you deal."
A beat.
"Tell me the truth: you think he's just using me?"
