It wasn't particularly necessary, since there was a computer at the front desk, but Mary had a personal task to take care of, one that should not be done on the hotel's computer. After getting the website she needed from Delinda, Mary debated between ordering a new Frisky Ferret or upgrading to the Angry Anaconda. Decisions, decisions...

Mary squeaked, caught by surprise, and quickly shut the laptop. "Sean! How are you doing?" she asked, trying to fake a sense of cheerfulness.

"Mildly annoyed, but otherwise good," he said with a shrug.

Yeah, you knew Sean was frustrated when he actually mentioned his sex life, however vaguely that might be.
