The Woods, Tuesday

Arya decided to take advantage of a quiet island, which probably wouldn't last very long. A walk in the woods was just the way to spend it.

As Arya walked beneath the trees, she wondered what she might find; how different this forest was in comparison to the ones of Ellesméra and Alagaësia. She had a feeling Saphira would enjoy these woods.

Trail riding! Tully and Mr. Twain hadn't gone trail riding in ages. Not since fleeing Wyoming. Mr. Twain was stepping carefully, as this was new territory. Which suited Tully, it meant they could take their time.

Even if she wanted to, Arya couldn't not hear the hoof beats treading across the forest floor. Elven hearing and all that.

"I see I'm not alone in seeking the comfort of the forest," Arya commented, making herself known. She did so cautiously, not wanting to spook the horse or rider.

Mr. Twain stopped and looked at her curiously. Tully tipped his hat back on his head and smiled. "No it seems not." he said. "Didn't we meet at Caritas a week or so ago?"

"We did," Arya nodded, pleased that he remembered. "How time seems to fly."

"It really does." he agreed. "Though winter seems to be lasting forever."
