Wellspring Arms: Monday

Worf was still in a foul mood this morning. His evening ~~handwavy~~ activity of beating the crap out of the punching bag did not help his mood.

As a result the store was more anally cleaned than usual. And there was a good deal of objects being slammed down a little more forcefully than usual as well as a few Klingon curses muttered under his breath.

Today might be a bad day to poke at the Klingon.

He's going to be glaring at you as soon as you walk through the door.

Reno was going to poke at whoever he damn well pleased, anyhow. Class had been cool and all, but he figured he needed some kind of catharsis. Or calming down. Or something.

And he could have gone to the gym to beat the crap out of the heavy bags, but really, nothing screamed "catharsis and calming down" quite like a place with weapons and a meditation room.

"I think I need meditation or somethin'," he said by way of greeting. A beat. "Too antsy for meditation or somethin'."

"You can't buy anything," Worf snapped at him. "So if you're not here to meditate then you are out of luck."

That had Reno raising an eyebrow.

"I know I can't buy nothin', pal. My girl works here too, I stop in now an' then already. Ain't nothin' sayin' I can't look, though. Whole crapload of weapons like that? S' almost soothin', yo."

"Indeed," Worf agreed.. albeit in a gruff manner. "They do have a nice variety of weapons. It is unfortunate that they will not be used."

"Real waste," Reno mused, crossing his arms over his chest and mulling it over for a bit. "So, you. You a fighter, or a meditator?"

Meditator was totally a word. Shut up.

"Meditator is not a word," Worf said arrogantly. "However there is no reason why a warrior can both fight and meditate. Just not at the same time."

That actually made Reno grin a little.

"Sittin' cross-legged on the floor'll make fightin' pretty tough, yeah. But on the other hand, fightin' is almost like meditatin'. Takes a certain amount of gettin' outta your head to do."

"So. I assume that means you think you are a warrior," Worf said expressing a little doubt about Reno's ability. "Not that I don't disagree with that statement."

"I ain't gonna be the one to say I'm a 'warrior,'" Reno drawled, now taking a step back to size up the wrinkly guy who was tending the store. "A fighter, sure. Guy in a uniform doin' what's gotta be done. They had the other guys to call warriors. I'm a Turk."

Was. Was a Turk. Same difference.

"I do not know what a Turk is," Worf replied. "Are they your people?"

"Nah, Turk's the job." Was the job. "Doin' all the work that wasn't pretty but had to get done anyhow. Involved a lot of fightin' too. You wanna say warrior, that's up to you."

He shrugged easily, and then grinned up at the guy. "You're talkin' like you know all about warriors, yo. You one?"
