Ben was impressed enough by the work Claire and Harper had done on the vintage sundress window display that he didn't have the heart to take any of it down yet. Instead, he added some novelty sunglasses to the mannequins. Because nothing said "Spring is coming" like novlety sunglasses. Ben was pretty sure he'd heard that somewhere.

Spare Ben the difficulty of having to undress one of the mannequins in the window because you really want that dress.

Or make him do exactly that.

Daisy wasn't sure if she'd be stopping in to Ben's store today, but, really, for the most part, she had some time to kill before that fight thing and it was really kind of silly to be feeling shy about coming in to see someone today just because you'd only just seen them last yesterday morning. The fact that she wasn't usually silly about that sort of thing only made it the more sillier.

"Afternoon, Ben!"

"Good afternoon, Daisy," Ben said. "How are you doing today?"

"Very well," she nodded. "A good Sunday. No complaints. Nothing that comes to my immediate attention that I'll have to dread tomorrow being Monday."

"Do you ever really dread the start of the workweek?" Ben asked.

The fact that Daisy had to pause and think about it meant that Ben was pretty much right on track for asking.

"...Sometimes?" she said. "A lot less here than I did back in London, but I have my moments."

"Well, if you ever have one of those off-weeks, you know you can count on me to try to cheer you up a bit," Ben said.

"Yeah," Daisy said with a grateful sort of grin, "that's true. Meat menus and everything. And, as much as I'd like you cheering me up, I think I'd much rather just skip the whole bad week things to need it."

"Then I'll just have to see if I can make good weeks even better," Ben said. "It's a challenge, but I think I'm up to it."

"Oh, come on," Daisy chuckled a little. "There's modesty, Ben, and then there's just straight-out lying. But, well..." She shook her head. "I guess that's what I can expect from the world's second most modest man, right?"

"Pretty much," Ben said. "I'm good at what I do."

Daisy's head bobbed a little, a clear indication of a very easy agreement to that.

And then she stopped herself with a hesitant breath.

"Well," she realized. "Unless what you're doing is being annoying, anyway."

"That's the one exception," Ben said.

"The one," Daisy snorted. "Thing is, I really can't think of anything at the moment to refute that. Give me a bit; I might think of something."

"If you ever come up with something, you always know where to find me. And if you don't, you can put out an APB for me," Ben said. "You probably don't get to do that around here too often, I'm guessing."

"Don't really get to do much of anything around here," muttered Daisy, shaking her head slightly. "And I think an APB around here would mean just hopping down the stairs and knocking on Kowalski's apartment door to let him know. Maybe drill a whole in the floor somewhere and just pass down a memo. I'm pretty sure he lives on the third floor somewhere."

"Drilling a hole in the floor in Loki's building would cause all sorts of excitement. He'd get entertainingly mad and everyone would have a good laugh about all of the cursing," Ben said.

"Too bad," offered Daisy with a grin, "you'd have to bring it to his attention first. I think you could probably drill a dozen holes throughout the building and he wouldn't even notice unless someone pointed it out."

"I think I'm going to have to test that theory one of these days," Ben said. "I'll patch it back up later, I have to see if you're right."

"Do it," Daisy said, grinning eagerly. "I'll keep me entertained this week."

"Consider it done. I don't have anything better to do during the week anyway," Ben said.

"Yaaaaay!" Daisy, feeling quite pleased with her hand in this, however small and light it had been, applauded a little. "Here's to just hoping he doesn't figure it out and charge you for vandalism just to be a dick. Arresting you would be kind of awkward."

"Are you kidding? I'd bring you down as an accessory to vandalism," Ben said. "I'm not going in alone."
