Things Reborn, Sunday

Baseball season started two weeks from today, so Ben made sure to set up a rack with vintage jerseys. He was wearing a '69 Tom Seaver Mets jersey today both because he was a Mets dork and because it was a good advertisement for the other jerseys. And for the upcoming baseball season, too, even though nobody really needed to be reminded of that. Everyone loved baseball, right?

[OOC: Availability may be somewhat sporadic throughout the day. Or maybe not. It's kind of a crap shoot.]

Daisy's rounds were getting a rather late start today, causing her to fight down a yawn from a bit of a mid-day nap with a smile. "Afternoon, Ben," she greeted him. "How goes it?" She noted the jerseys with a tilt of her head. "Baseball?"

"Pfft," said Daisy, "I only mentioned it in hopes to build up to mentioning that you should play a real sport, like cricket."

"I love bowling." Daisy couldn't help but grin fondly. "We should go some time. I'm terrible. It'll be a great confidence booster for you."

Daisy eyed Ben, because Ben clearly did not realize that even if you tried, you couldn't be worse than Daisy at bowling. "I'll believe it when I see it."

"When do you want to show it off?" asked Daisy. "Only plans I've made so far this week is introducing poor Mina to what she's been missing in the form of twenty-first century nightclubs, on Friday. But I did rather like doing something on Wednesdays. Makes the week seem not as long."

"Is...someone being an alien the only thing that makes cosmic bowling so cosmic?"

Inquiring minds had to know.

"Because, you know," said Daisy, "technically I'm an alien. So if that were the case, then every bowling is cosmic bowling."

"How do you know I'm not?" asked Daisy, who very, very clearly was no such thing because she was bad at even suggesting a lie.

Daisy considered trying it. Just a little bit. After all, everyone else had 'I'm from the past,' or 'I'm Jesus' best friend' or 'I'm a vampire' or 'I've died,' and what did she have?

Well, at least she was cute.

"Okay, fine, I'm not. Good eye."

"And, well, with as much studying, you'd probably be bound to notice something."

"Awwww, Ben!" Daisy was genuinely blushing. Daisy. Ducked head and small laugh and everything. "That's wasn't fair!"
