Eve was humming to herself as she got settled at her desk. No, she wasn't in a good mood. (Not that she was in a bad mood, it just wasn't an extraordinarily good one.) She was just... in the mood to hum.

Yes, she was odd.

She settled in behind her desk and leaned back in the chair, idly glancing through a brochure for the Less Fruitcake, More Art exhibit.

"Afternoon, Eve!" Charlotte, smiling, came down to see how her employee was doing after a...really long break from work. "How's it going?"

"Pretty well," Eve replied, giving a thumbs up. "And hey, I made chocolate truffle coffee instead of the usual stuff because I wanted a change. If you want some, better grab a cup before other people get to it."

Charlotte chuckled a little. "I'd love some. And, yeah, hopefully it'll all be gone before Dale gets home. I'm a little nervous to find out what he might think of flavored coffees, although, between you and me, I love them."

"Oh, please, between you, me, and the customers, it'll be gone in like ten minutes," Eve said as she stood and went to pour a cup for her boss. "Regular coffee is great, but damn if sometimes I don't need a change."

This was probably sacrilege to Dale. Good thing he wasn't going to hear her say it.

"Especially chocolate truffle," Charlotte agreed, finally helping herself to a cup with a small laugh. "If anything, it probably helps make the return to work a little easier. We took quite the hiatus there."

"Chocolate solves everything, y'know," Eve said with a nod. "And yeah, we did, didn't we? Think we needed it, though."

"I know I did," Charlotte admitted. "The last month has been...well, it's been a month where breaks are good. And so is coffee."
