Things Reborn, Sunday

Ben stared at the box that had been delivered this morning. "This is more Hawaiian shirts than I've ever seen in my life. Then again, I've never been to Hawaii." He started pulling the shirts out and quickly noticed that every single shirt had a monkey theme. Sometimes it was bananas, granted, but everything related to monkeys somehow.

He ended up putting all of them on a table with a sign that read "MONKEY SHIRTS! 2 FOR THE PRICE OF 1!" Because who could resist that?

[OOC: I'll be disappearing for a few hours this afternoon. Oh, errands. Why can't you run yourself?]

Hawaiian shirts.

It was as if Jeff had sensed them. He stuck his nose into the store, quickly followed by the rest of him (because the nose alone looked sort of silly). "You've got shirts!"

[ and in the ocd this time! ]

"Do you have anything," Jeff started, now that he'd found a good spot to stand, "...with bananas?"

"Sometimes I think I am," Jeff said, conversationally, following. "But generally it only works on porn."

After getting voicemail (http://senor-chado.livejournal.com/273.html?thread=1127441#t1127441) and after all the dinner stuff with Dinah had been taken care of, Chad went straight for the thrift store on Jeff's advice.

"I heard," he stated, "that you have monkeys."

In his (very, very, very well contained excitement and the time it took to get the voicemail to get to the store, a few details might have gotten muddled in Chad's head.

Chad blinked, considered this, and then shook his head. "No," he said, "I meant that first one. Shirts with monkeys on them. Jeff called me."

"...Are there any extra large sizes?" Because that was really the main question. They could have practically any pattern in the world, and Chad would likely still wear them, so long as they fit, because they usually did fit, while other shirts...

Jeff wasn't the ONLY one with psychic tacky clothing detecting senses. Sokka just HAD to poke his head in. "...Monkeys!??!?"

Sokka spread his arms wide. "MONKEY ME!!!" he demanded. Then he grabbed two shirts, apparently at random, off the rack. "I'll take these!"

Sokka just looked him in the eyes and said, "Dude. Monkeys." Really, that was all that needed to be said.

...Then he did a double-take and looked at Ben more closely. "Oh, hey, you're that guy, right? Peter What's-his-name's cousin? Man, the resemblance is AMAZING."

Daisy, shockingly, was not actually here for the tacky clothes, despite, admittedly, being the owner of her fair share of them.

No, she was here to see the actual shop owner, and not the merchandice he had for sale, although it did distract her a moment.

"Afternoon, Ben!--Oooh. I actually know someone who might like a few of these."

"Can I get a frequent customer discount?" Daisy wondered. "I mean, I know I never buy anything and it's already such a steal, but I think dependability should net me something."

Daisy took a moment to make sure she'd gotten that right, then nodded. "Fair's fair," she decided. "And half off anything I don't buy. You've just got deal left and right 'round here, don't you?"
