Francine gave an expert nod. "I've seen it before, so unless somebody switched the film reels..."

Of course, that only made her peer suspiciously up at the projection booth.

"Thank God." Francine shifted the bucket of popcorn to the crook of her elbow, her drink shoved in next to it, and patted at her pocket with the other hand. Crinkle. Well, there were the Twizzlers. But... patpatpat.

"Hey, do you have the Sno-Caps?" she asked, in a panicked voice. "I can't find them!"

Merlin handed over the odd box that he hadn't really understood the need for. "Is it normal to have a meal during these?"

"This isn't a meal," Francine corrected him. "It's just snacks." For giants.

"Snacks," Merlin repeated. "Does this mean we need dinner after?"

"Usually." She gestured with the box towards a row of seats halfway down the otherwise empty theatre. "There? Too close and the sound'll hurt your ears."

"I'll take your word for it," Merlin said, holding out his hands in an offer to carry the food for her.

Francine looked for a second like she didn't want to give it up, but that was really because she was afraid if she tried to shift anything it would spill all over the place. "Here." That was the popcorn at least, so she could slide into the row without scattering it across the floor.

"Also from the front row you can pretty much see up the actors' noses. Not the best angle."

"There's just something about a movie theatre that's different from watching tv," Francine said, and yes, she was trying to fill the pre-previews silence with pointless babble, why do you ask?

Merlin fiddled with the arm a few times before he managed to get it down like a few others had been. Really now, that shouldn't have been that hard. "I am a man of new experiences."
