"I've had a bad couple of weeks," Jolee told Tino. "So I think we'll all be happier tonight if nobody annoys anyone tonight."

And with that, Tino put down his water pistols.

Linz took a seat at the bar and motioned for a drink. Probably not a good idea after the night before, but what the hell?

Tomorrow was a welcome picnic! There was a new semester tomorrow! And Minsc would have a new teaching buddy! That called for celebration!

It would call for celebration tomorrow, too, but one could not have too much celebration! He happily took a seat with his usual demand, "Fetch me a mug of moderately strong ale! And some water for my hamster!"

"What can I get for you?" Jolee asked.

It had been nearly a year since Ronon left and he'd walked through town thinking how virtually nothing had changed. He'd gone into the bar to see what was what now that he was back, but seeing Lindsay there killed any real thinking that was happening and plastered a huge smile on his face. He walked over to lean casually next to her. "Hey."

"Let me guess," Jolee said, getting the water while Tino got the ale. "You're excited about tomorrow?"

"Bourbon would be nice," she replied. "Unless you got something special behind the bar."

By this point, Lindsay had already had a few drinks. When she heard the familiar voice there was a slight jump before she slowly turned around to see Ronon.

"Hey," she said a small grin coming to her face. "You're back."

"There might be new people!" Minsc informed Sir Jolee brightly. "And I've got a new teaching buddy! I sure hope he likes drinking! My last one did, and it's worked out very well for us!"

Maybe that was simply because the drinking made Minsc a little easier to handle...

"Yup," he agreed, being back and all. "Good to see you're still here."

"Did you really think I'd leave here after four days?" she asked looking amused.

"Four days?" Ronon repeated, looking a little confused.

Granted, while he was looking a little different, a year's worth of different wasn't obvious with the longer, strangely fluffier hair and a few extra scars hidden under the leather.

"If there is, it's too special for me to know about," Jolee said as he got the bourbon. "Here you go."

"It's Friday," she said with a grin as she reached over to pull him closer. "God, you made it sound like you were leaving forever."

Jack cracked his neck, dropped his baseball cap on the bar, and waved at the barkeep. "Beer," he said. "Heineken, or maybe Guinness. One of the two. Hell, surprise me."

"And what if he doesn't like drinking?" Jolee asked as the drinks were put in front of Minsc. "Or what if he's a she?"

"I thought all bartenders had some sort of special booze they kept hidden so they could pour it out at their discretion," Linz replied as she took the drink. "Or is that just a myth?"

Jolee poured a glass without looking at which one he chose. "Here. It'll be a surprise to all of us."

He shook his head and stepped closer, still smiling. "Fast year. Thought I'd come back way in the future."

Jack raised an eyebrow. "Hey, big guy, are you always this happy?"

"Oh, that's a myth," Jolee said. "Most of them might, but not all. I usually just have water."
