Alex was beginning to think that this past week had, in fact, really happened, and wasn't just a bizarre hallucination caused by the trauma of the shooting (or the variety of painkillers). The next question was whether she had completely lost her sanity. That one might take longer.
In the meantime, she had an office, and she had employees. No cases yet, but one thing at a time.
