It was Ned's first day at work. And, of course, since Ned had the worst luck ever, it was also Ned's first day at work toting a tiny raccoon who was once his girlfriend. He set said girlfriend on the counter with some sticks to put together while he went behind the counter.

He and the kitchen staff greeted each other cautiously (he was the new kid, after all) before Ned got set with putting everything up and making sure the kitchen staff didn't try to cook his girlfriend. Maybe raccoon was a delicacy somewhere?
