The Lighthouse, Wednesday May 27
Murdock was at the lighthouse fairly early, not too long after dawn, actually. He hadn't slept too well and finally figured he might as well get up and do something.
Now that he'd gotten the wires traced out, he needed to replace them. They might be good, but he wasn't willing to risk that hundred year old (or older, really he had no idea) wiring could withstand a power surge.
And around here, there were plenty of things liable to cause a massive electric charge. Unwelcome island guests, for instance.
So today, the inside of the tower looked like jungle city, with wires dangling from the light room at the top all the way down to the bottom as he worked at replacing the old wires one by one.
And yes, of course he'd cut the main power to the tower. He was crazy, not stupid after all.

"OW! God dang it..." The rest faded off to muttering.
If anyone poked their head in, they'd find Murdock sucking on one of his finger.

"Maybe a band-aid," he said, wandering to where Tully was. Didn't want to make him hobble around when he didn't have to.

Talk about a blow to the ego.

And wake up half the island in the process, probably.

"Aha!" he pulled out the right size band-aid and stuck on it the tip of his pinky finger. "Dang, that still stings"
