Fiona made it to work and did her usual duties, watering the plant and neatening up the office, before she settled down to work on the Jenner case. She felt just a little annoyed with herself, since she couldn't seem to focus on the details as well as she knew she could; her mind kept floating off thinking about other things, other completely non-legal things and she almost wondered if she should tell Miss Cabot that she would be largely useless today.

No, no, she could file and man the phones. And she knew most of the details of the case, when she could think; she could always do the legal research when her head was back on straight. Goodness knew she had the books to use in her room (well, some of them). In fact, that was what she decided to do. And not use the office phone to call anyone. Because that was just wrong. And a bad idea.

She really really hated this.
