Trooper Station; Monday [06/08 ].
Okay. She could do this. Last week was all sorts of odd and off, but ever since Saturday night, Daisy felt like she'd done a pretty good job of setting things back on track again. Meditation, some baking, a good spar, a nice evening with Ben. There was really no reason why shouldn't couldn't go into the station today, business as usual, and forget about that whole sleeping with the new guy thing. No reason to be awkward about it, right? Water under the bridge. Possibly even something to pretend never actually happened at all, really. They were professionals here.
Professionals who arrested horsies and shot harpies and helped students track down mutant alligators in sewer systems, but professionals all the same.
So, resolved, Daisy settled in to write up the transcripts for the weekend's radio broadcasts, and didn't get far before she wondered if she should create a separate file for them under 'Should Be Dismissed Entirely Because Half of Everyone's off the Rocker.'
Actually, Daisy was thinking that they needed a general file for Saturday's broadcasts from here on in, labeled 'Deadpool's Broadcasts: Most Likely Utterly Unreliable, but Good for a Giggle or Two.'

Very proper and professional. Back in the game, she was. A bit easier to manage with Gibbs than it was DiNozzo, though.

Not that they'd had any chance to exactly use that nice bit of technology yet, but it was there, and Daisy was even grateful for the opportunity just to mention it, really.

But, then again, she was pretty close to the guy, all things considered.
"He's one of the troopers," she explained. "Sort of the head one, I guess. He's the guy in armour that looks like all the other guys in armour."
She decided that adding that Ralph had the cutest bum out of all of them was probably not a distinguishing factor that would be helpful to Gibbs.

"I just thought they were a bunch of nerds dressing up like that damn Galaxy Quest show."
The fact that Gibbs could even pick up a pop culture reference should probably be applauded.

And then she started listing off very minute details about this on or that one, a note about how so-and-so dyed his hair or about how such-and-such didn't like chocolate sprinkles and that one didn't like the rainbow ones. He always put sugar in his coffee, and he always drank it as black as night. He liked tea, which was probably why he always seemed a little more dignified than the others, and...
Daisy spent a lot of time here and subsequently with these guys, okay?

"I'm just going to address them all as 'Hey you!'" he replied.

She was tempted to insist that if that were the case, then she would be "Hey you!' too, but she could already see Ralph rolling his eyes.
Figuratively speaking. She couldn't see him through the helmet.
"Yeah," she said, "that usually works, too."

She couldn't help grinning at that one. She'd offer to show Gibbs the pictures, but they were at work.

Gibbs mulled that over for a bit. "Okay. I think I'll hold off on the animal transformations and just focus on the police reports where we just get invaded. Or something."
