Strokes of Genius, Thursday
Katchoo really only had one criterion in mind to keep today from sucking massively: no repeat of last Thursday. She suspected she might be fairly safe in that regard.
Still, she was going to be spending large chunks of today leaning against the wall just outside the store's front door with her good pals tobacco and Bic. It might not act like a people-repellent quite as well as she wished it would at times, but maybe it'd be a crappy-day-repeat repellent.
It wasn't that she needed the justification for her overindulgence in vice. It was just an excuse to keep brooding about it.
